Unable to modify SID for "administrator"
Whenever I try to change the samba password for administrator, I get the
following error:

Failed to modify entry for user administrator.
Failed to modify password entry for user administrator

I deleted the administrator account from the database (I'm using tdbsam),
and despite seeing the message "Unable to delete user administrator", it had

The full error is:

pdbedit shows the RID as correclty having changed, but I'm then unable to
change the password for administrator, which gives a similar error:

I don't have any problem. I have update samba from the version 3.0.11 to the
version 3.0.14a. I use a Red Hat 9. When I try to change the root password I
recive this messagge:

> Update of user root failed!
But the root user exist:
