The SCLo SIG is not only meant to include packages rebuilt from Software Collections that have been made available in Red Hat Software Collections (RHSCL), but it is also meant to include updated content or collections that are not part of the RHSCL portfolio at all. So far, the collections rebuilt by SCLo SIG from RHSCL are devassist09, devtoolset-3, git19, httpd24, mariadb55, maven30, mongodb24, mysql55, nginx14, nginx16, nodejs010, perl516, php5...

The following features of the C++11/C++14 standards are not supported by g++: * std::make_unique function (C++14) * digit separators (C++14) * binary literals (C++14) * generic lambdas (C++14) If you are using the GNU C compiler collection (gcc) then you need at least v4.9.x. configure: error: support for required C++11/C++14 features incomplete Is there by chance a compat package

PHP vulnerability CVE-2016-4073
Hello, My server with CentOS 6.8 just failed PCI scan, so I'm looking into vulnerable packages. PHP 5.3.3 have multiple vulnerabilities, some of them are fixed/patched or have some kind of workaround. But I can't find a way to fix this one. Red Hat state: under investigation. https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/cve-2016-4073 This CVE is 6 months old, and it doesn't look like it

php 5.6 on CentOS 6
...OS 7. As part of the migration process I need to upgrade an app and corresponding data files which requires php 5.6. I do have php 5.5 (and 5.4) installed since earlier but now tried to install php 5.6 from SCL which failed. This is the package I tried: https://www.softwarecollections.org/en/scls/rhscl/rh-php56/ but the error message is that there is no package 5.6. Is this correct and what would the recommended procedure then be since I do need 5.6 for this. Use Remi's collection or something else? I was hoping SCL would have it since it is well-tried and easy to sandbox on the computer. T...

CentOS 6 gcc is a bit old
gcc (GCC) 4.4.7 20120313 (Red Hat 4.4.7-11) is a bit old. There have been major changes since then. I'd like a newer version. If I have to, I expect that I can install from source. I'd rather not. Is there a CentOS 6-compatible repository from which I can get a newer version? Does a standard CentOS 7 repository have a newer version? Does a CentOS 7-compatible repository have a newer
