getrandom waits for a long time when /dev/random is insufficiently read from
...ource of entropy whereas most other methods (e.g. interrupt timing) are "push" sources. I suspect that a similar issue occurs if RDRAND is the only source of entropy. I also tried running rngd in the guest which resolved the issue but seems entirely stupid to me, even moreso since http://rhelblog.redhat.com/2015/03/09/red-hat-enterprise-linux-virtual-machines-access-to-random-numbers-made-easy/ says that "The use of rngd is now not required and the guest kernel itself fetches entropy from the host when the available entropy falls below a specific threshold.".

NBDE, clevis and tang for non-root disk
...ll no longer boot automatically. A tcpdump on the tang server shows no traffic while the system is stuck at the LUKS password prompt. The second encrypted volume is set up in the same way as the root device and I can unlock the volume using clevis-luks-unlock -d /dev/vda3. I've seen in https://rhelblog.redhat.com/2018/04/13/an-easier-way-to-manage-disk-decryption-at-boot-with-red-hat-enterprise-linux-7-5-using-nbde/ that clevis-luks-askpass.path needs to be enabled but it doesn't make a difference. Any ideas on what 's wrong or how to debug this? Best regards, Radu

High Performance graphics virtual environment: VGA Passthough or a VDI solution
...but there were issue with the keyboard and the kernel reported many error. I used the dual seat system for play internet content to a tv but I do not think this solution would work well for multiple desktops. VGA Pass-through Redhat blog claims the beta release supports vga pass-through: http://rhelblog.redhat.com/2014/01/29/kvm-virtualization/ Is this true? I hope to find a cheaper video card then the professional NVIDA. Can VGA pass-through be accomplished using the application provide by CentOS 7? Or do I need to apply all the patches and recompile as suggested in the article below? http://ww...

Teaming vs Bond?
OK, at least its not an *issue* with Gluster. I didn't expect any but you never know. I have been amused at the 'lack' of discussion on Teaming performance found on Google searches. There are lots of 'here it is and here is how to set it up' articles/posts, but no 'ooh-wee-wow it is awesome' comments. It seems that for most people Bonding has worked it kinks out
