Hello,
If you're interested in running Xen 4.0 hypervisor/dom0 on RHEL6,
take a look at here: http://wiki.xen.org/xenwiki/RHEL6Xen4Tutorial
It explains steps needed to rebuild Xen 4.0.1 src.rpm from Fedora on RHEL6,
and how to fetch dom0 capable 2.6.32.x kernel from upstream git repository.
It also shows how to get libvirt/virt-manager working with Xen on RHEL6.

augeas, rhel6, setm
It turns out augeas on RHEL6 is 0.7.2, which does not have ''setm'' command
available. ''setm'' is available in augeas release 0.8, which is available in
EPEL, but not available for RHEL6 (the reason is the package is already in
RHEL6, thus no package would be released in EPEL for this.

unable to ping from guests in virbr0 to guests in virbr1 network
Hi all,
I have 3 guests (2-RHEL4 and 1 RHEL6) and have some issues regarding
networking between them. The 2 RHEL4 system's use default bridge virbr0 and
get ip's of range 192.168.122.0/24 (192.168.122.207, 192.168.122.167)
I created another bridge (virbr1) with NAT forwarding (no dhcp). The
network i choose was 192.168.100.0/24. And...

RHEL6 beta vs. Xen
Has anyone yet figured out what it would take to make Xen
run on top of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 beta?
We are heavily invested in Xen under RHEL5 (actually
a redhat clone) distribution, but already the xen kernel
they are shipping with update 4 and 5 is shaky and has bugs
which they don''t seem to be in a hurry to fix.
Basically I am wondering if Redhat 6 is just going to

Apache 2.2 EOL - what is Red Hat's story for RHEL6?
Hi folks,
I have been googling for a few weeks now and not finding anything.
Apache 2.2 is EOL at the end of this year.
Has Red Hat announced a plan yet on what they are doing in RHEL6?
I am assuming they will up-version from 6.9 to 6.10 and as part of
that upgrade from Apache 2.2 to Apache 2.4 ?
thanks,
-Alan

RHEL6 domU migrate issues w/ higher to lower frequency CPU''s
Hey folks,
I''ve encountered a rather interesting/frustrating issue with RHEL6
domU''s and live migration.
I have no problems booting a RHEL6 domU using its stock/native kernel on
Xen 3.4.1 or Xen 3.4.3. But in terms of live migration, there seems to
be a problem when moving from a higher (in terms of CPU MHz) to lower
(MHz) system -- even if the higher of the t...

No more support for chrome/chromium on rhel6
https://plus.google.com/u/0/100132233764003563318/posts/Y1s6T44Soby
Not 100% this is true but the problem apparently is that rhel6 uses an
old version of gtk2.
If this is true, then it affects my school and my students. I like
google-chrome and it works very well with google services. I was
planning on using C6 for a long time. Does anyone know of a repo that
intends to keep Chromium working for C6?

Dovecot 2.1.0 packages for CentOS 6 / RHEL6
Hi,
First, Timo, Thank you for Dovecot 2.1.0.
I've built Dovecot 2.1.0 RPMs including Dovecot-Pigeonhole 0.3.0 for
RHEL6, CentOS 6 and Scientific Linux 6.
If anyone is interested in testing these RPMs:
http://oss.imt-systems.com/mstevens/el6/dovecot/2.1.0/
Feedback would be appreciated.
After some testing, we will use these RPMs on our IMAP servers.
Best regards,
Morten

RHEL6 cgroup error after a few days of uptime
I have a RHEL6 that hosts many kvm virtual machines. It has been
working fine for a couple years. I apply errata updates about once a
week.
In the last couple weeks, I've ran into a bug where the virtual
machines start failing to start with a cgroup error message. If I
reboot the host (very disruptive) then...

3.5.5 on Solaris 10 - Doesn't expose all content (NFS)
So, we're doing a bad thing and re-exporting an NFS file system via
Samba. For the most part it's always worked fairly well and we've been
cognizant of the various locking scenarios that can come up.
Recently, we've run into issues exposing NFS file systems sitting on
RHEL6. Our Samba server runs Solaris 10 and the vendor provided Samba
daemon (we're currently at 3.5.5 but looking to apply the latest patch
which will get us to 3.6.15).
Looking at the NFS export on the RHEL6 server from the Samba server via
NFS directly (either via the automounter or via an expli...
