Storing Hashed Passwords in Credentials File
...ywhere, event if it is protected.
I know samba send the password in plain text anyway, it sends an encrypted hash of it. So, can I have that
hash stored in the credentials file instead of the plain text password?
This way, event if the file gets compromised, the actual password is still not revieled.

Winbind/Samba + sshd incorrect groups
I'm currently running it on a test server (before I roll it out to our 6
live Linux box's)
And its starting to drag on and drive me mad.
O/S: RedHat 7.1
Samba: 2.2.3a
Ive got the whole system working nearly perfectly, as samba uses the
'MMGROUP+Domain Users' as the primary group, I wanted to restrict who can
use SSH and samba on the workstations.
So I created a specific group

different results from lme() and lmer()
Hello R-help,
I'm studying an example in the R book.?

Could you explain Why the results from lme() and lmer() are different in the following case? In other examples, I can get the same results using the two functions, but not here...?
