Generic page element display initializer in a layout?
All,
I''ve run into a snag. I need to handle the display of elements on my
page and I want to use my Javascript event handlers on page load.
However, my BODY tag is trapped in my generic layout.
I''m thinking that I can put an onLoad on the BODY tag that will just
call a Javascript method called initializePage() and then provide this
initializePage() call in my specific page

[LLVMdev] What can llvm provide when writing a new compiler?
Hi everyone.
Because there is still a little confusion about the huge document, I want to
know what llvm can provide when we customize our new compiler?
For example, a normal compiler includes lexer, parser, intermediate code
generator , optimizer and target code generator. According to llvm
documents, it seems that llvm can provide a better intermediate code
presentation. And what else can it

List of tables rather than an extra dimension in the table or (l)apply(xtabs)
I'm not sure how to best explain what I am after but here goes. I have a data frame with 2 geographical factors. One is the major region the other is the component regions.
I am trying to process all the regions at the same time without using "for". So I need (think, I do) a list of matrices each structured according to the number of subregions within each region.
So is there a

Why Wouldn't I Use Rails
I am starting a large project and still selecting what
framework to use.
Rather than ask brand x what is wrong with brand y, I am
more interested in self confession.
Why would I *not* want to use Rails (compared to Iowa and Nitro).
I posted a synopsis of the project to ruby-talk but will repost
it here if anyone wants it.
