Resynchronization of indexes (or Warning: Maildir Scanning <dir> took <X> seconds)
...essages are directed with lmtp to the same server
the user (scenario 3 at http://wiki2.dovecot.org/NFS with director in
front of backend servers).
So my question is why is dovecot using these readdirs operations? why
it is scanning the whole cur directory of the user? I guess this is an
index resynchronization, but I don't know could it be the cause.
PS: I have attached my dovecot -n output

GlusterFS as virtual machine storage
Hi all,
I would like to ask if, and with how much success, you are using
GlusterFS for virtual machine storage.
My plan: I want to setup a 2-node cluster, where VM runs on the nodes
themselves and can be live-migrated on demand.
I have some questions:
- do you use GlusterFS for similar setup?
- if so, how do you feel about it?
- if a node crashes/reboots, how the system re-syncs? Will the VM

Question about domain controller replication limit
Hi, I tried a fast search about domain controller replication limit
without find without finding an answer.
Can someone tell me if there are time limit of correct synchronization
of domain controller turned off for a long time (like some days)? If yes
what should be the time limit and what is better do when need to poweron
domain controller that has passed that time?

changing time in dom0
Hi all!
I want to adjust the time in dom0 with a cronjob (rdate & hwclock). Will
that affect my domU? Is it possible to resynchronize the time on a
"xen-way"?

Diff problem
Hi everybody,
Until know i synchronized a few directories full of binaries with
"--checksum" options, it took each time a lot
of time since rsync "mdsum" each file contained in my directories.
Then I decided to skip "--checksum" option to let rsync work only of files
size and files mtime and speed up the process but when i launch

What's happend when the UID/SID mapping changes for a computer account ?
Hi,
Could you please tell me, what's happend when the UID/SID mapping
changes for a computer account ?
In my previous mail, I explain that suddenly every computers of my
domain was unable to connect to our samba logon server.
Before this problem, a 'net rpc vampire' was done to resynchronize the
samba ldap-sam with the NT4 PDC, and samba has been restarted, I suspect
that after

Replication problem
Hi,
I'm using mdbox and replication. Due to configuration error
synchronization was not able to be done last week. Since then
the problem has been corrected but synchronisation for some mailbox
always failed in I/O stalled timeout for 600 seconds.
The link between the two servers is quite slow and multiple sync are
done in parallel leading to congested link.
I can't replicate with

GlusterFS as virtual machine storage
Hi, after many VM crashes during upgrades of Gluster, losing network
connectivity on one node etc. I would advise running replica 2 with
arbiter.
I once even managed to break this setup (with arbiter) due to network
partitioning - one data node never healed and I had to restore from
backups (it was easier and kind of non-production). Be extremely
careful and plan for failure.

any recent experience combining GlusterFS w/ Xen?
Hi Folks,
Anybody have any recent experience building a small cluster that
combines GlusterFS and Xen (with bonus points for a Debian environment)?
We''re getting ready to shift from a 2-node Xen/Pacemaker/DRBD
environment to a 4-node environment - and I''d really like to be able to
create/migrate/failover/delete VMs transparently across all 4 nodes.
Seems like Gluster might

Icecast 2 for Live365 MP3 Relaying
Hi All,
I attempted to switch my MP3 server from Icecast 1 to Icecast 2 today. I
run a Live365 station, Big Planet Radio, which simply relays my local
Icecast server.
My Icecast 2 error.log file shows a lot of the following messages when the
Live365 server, Nanocaster 2.5.6, is connected to it:
[2003-05-14 22:09:15] DBUG format-mp3/format_mp3_write_buf_to_client Client

About Sampling Rate Correction in acoustic echo cancellation
Hi all,
We have discussed so many about sampling rate asynchronous (or offset) between rendering (D/A converter) and capturing (A/D converter) of most PC soundcards. It seems all acoustic echo cancellers, include AEC in speex, can not deal with this trouble, because it causes a drift of echo path and also buffer overflow and underflow which jumps the delay of echo path seriously.
Unfortunately,

audio pause/delay problems
[I have sent a message about SIP problems via gmane, but it seems the
list is gatewayed one-way only...]
The message was:
I've been trying to use Asterisk as a SIP->PSTN gateway. It runs fine
when the SIP client is on the local network and there is not packet
loss. But now I've tried running a remote client (halfway around the
globe) -- this works great until some packets get lost.

[LLVMdev] GIT mirroring
Hello Everyone,
It seems given the decent amount of discussions it's time to make
small announcement.
So, official git mirrors are available for some subset of LLVM
projects. They were used by some LLVM developers for couple of months
already and seem to be stable enough.
Right now there is a mirroring for LLVM itself and clang. More can be
added per requests. The mirrors are made via

Synchronizing a streaming client to the server Was: Idea to possibly improve flac?
The issue is that silent frames compress to a very small size, and the Ogg
packeting layer can put more than one FLAC frame into a page. So if you
have an extended period of silence with a live or rate-limited input
stream, the client buffers may exhaust themselves before a new page can be
put together and transmitted.

Synchronizing a streaming client to the server Was: Idea to possibly improve flac?
This thread has raised several good topics. It's surprising that the
FLAC-Dev list has been silent for years, and now suddenly there are
several good ideas to discuss.

Icecast 2 for Live365 MP3 Relaying
this is probably caused by the lack of buffering in icecast2. Their relay
client may be doing some buffering in itself, and if it's expecting for
there to be buffering on the server side as well, it might exhibit a
behavior you are seeing....(that also is a difference between iceast1 and
icecast2 - no server-side buffering in icecast2 and there was in icecast1)...
fwiw, I am trying to
