...p, I have noticed that after a period of user inactivity if a client open connections to dovecot first attemps fails with this: Nov 16 19:34:43 cl05-02 dovecot: auth: Error: ldap(user at xxx.xx.xx,172.29.13.26): Connection appears to be hanging, reconnecting After the connections to ldap has been restablished everything starts working ok, is this a expected behavior or I'm missing something?? Best regards

[Bug 127] PAM with ssh authentication and pam_krb5 doesn't work properly
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127 ------- Additional Comments From djm at mindrot.org 2003-01-07 17:13 ------- This fix is incorrect - the creds (which are often supplemental groups) need to be restablished after initgroups(), which we call elsewhere. Does the PAM module not support restablishing credentials? ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.

Question about "nss_ldap: could not get LDAP result - Can't contact LDAP server" error
..., I would like to ask to samba specialists if is possible that the problem is this slapd.conf option: idletimeout 30 I?m using it because I was compiled LDAP with wrapper option and wrapper doens?t support more than 256 simultaneous connections. Then, I?m thinking if smbd process is trying to restablish a closed connection and because that generating the error. Is it possible? Thank you very much.

Problem going back to a viewport with gridBase
...ct coordinates. How do I tell it to resume using A's coordinates? I am already using par(fig = gridFIG()) but it seems that that's not enough to reestablish them. What happens is that when I go back to A it draws the horizontal lines as if its relative to B's coordinates rather than restablishing A's coordinates. As a result the horizontal lines are drawn near the bottom of the graph instead of at the correct heights. Try running the code below to see what I mean. I have also tried to use baseViewports with this but did not have any success. How do I modify this example so that t...

Upgrade/migrate, lost workstation trusts
...nually map drives on the workstation to shares on the server. What's not great is that the workstation trusts appear to have broken, and I cannot leave/rejoin the domain (not that that's my preferred way of solving the problem). I think I have two possibly unrelated problems: 1) I want to restablish the workstation trusts such that user accounts and files on the workstations (all Win7) are not affected by the Samba upgrade; and 2) I need to figure out why I cannot simply rejoin the domain from the workstations - the errors appear to be related to the use of the server's root account to au...

ActiveRecord and refreshing column info
...9;', ActiveRecord always returns table_a''s column info. I''ve tried the following ActiveRecord methods to clear the info in column_names & neither has worked ActiveRecord::Base.reset_column_information ActiveRecord::Base.remove_connection Even after removing & then restablishing the connection, the column_names method continues to return table_a''s columns. So I''m obviously on the wrong track here. But I can''t find out where I should be headed. Any ideas? Thanks! Versions being used: Ruby 1.8.4 RoR 1.1 -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum...

Mail forwarding on a dynamic IP address.
I have a Cyrus installation with postfix and openXchange. I get the mails from catchall account with procmail and distribute with the mail server. Now I have a new site office where couples of staff members are going to be relocated. Since we have only an ADSL line on site office if there any way I could forward the mails for these staff members to another Mail Server with dynamic IP address?

vfat / ftruncate problem
...n an ftruncate, the server just sits there 90 seconds or so grinding and grinding then I guess something times out and either Samba drops the connection to the Win98SE client or Win98SE drops it itself, Win98SE gives an error for the copy that the resource is no longer available, but the connection restablishes itself right away then, but the copy attempt has been aborted. I think its the same type of deal copying smaller files to the Samba shared vfat partition that does work except there is a long pause before the copy really gets going, I think Samba is doing the fallocate deal and it just takes qui...

smtp over ssh probs
...the masqmail's queue, it works![***] the problem w/ this way, and yes, it's only a matter of confort, is that I have to setup the tunnel manually, and that when my home machine's ip change (I don't have a fixed ip, that's why I use dyndns), the connections go down and I have to restablish them by hand. I also know that I could make some scripts to circumvent that, but I feel the inetd solution clean and, once set up, very transparent. does anyone have any clue? local ssh is 'OpenSSH_3.6.1p2 Debian 1:3.6.1p2-2, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090702f' (debian/testing)...

...oot attack failed? What else needs to be done and > what else do I need to be aware of? Again, this messge is perfectly normal. What happens is that smbfs (a part of the kernel, not actualy part of samba, has lost its connection to the Win9X machine, and reports this, along with its sucessful restablishment the the logfiles. Similarly with the second message, a normal process on your system attempted to open the Win9X swapfile, but this was denied due to locking on the Win9X machine. This appears as an error on the Linux client. As to if there should be processes attempting to open that file, t...
