Asterisk and SIP Proxy on same host = media problem
Hi there I have a pbx (v16.10) on AWS (Ubuntu 18.04) with Freepbx (14) that I am trying to set up the proxy reSIProcate on the same host as pbx. I can make it all work when the proxy is on a different host but when the proxy is on the same host asterisk sends the media address as 127.0.0.1 which the end user then happily sends media to 127.0.0.1 but it doesn’t get anywhere. Asterisk then disconnects after 30...

We have did some searching of Asterisk, here are my questions: 1. Does the last Asterisk using PJSIP stack ? 2. Does there has the comparison of PJSIP and reSIProcate, sofia(using by FreeSwicth) ? 3. Is it easy to compile and setup Asterisk? 4. Which Asterisk version is recommended? And does Asterisk support Windows ? Thanks in advance . -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/aste...

Background transfers with callback
Hello list, I have successfully set up Asterisk, but girls from our office complain to me that when they hit Flash to transfer a call and pick the number, they need to wait until the call is answered, and only then they could hangup. On the analog PBX we had before the transfer was in "background", and if called party did not answer the call, then the call returned to the girl in the

RFC 5922 (TLS Certificates) and Asterisk
...jira/browse/ASTERISK-19268 I'm just wondering who else has been investigating RFC 5922 style certificate practices? Which CAs have been able to provide appropriate certificates? What kind of interoperability testing has been done between the major products (e.g. Asterisk, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, reSIProcate/repro)?

blog about WebRTC + TLS + Asterisk 11
I've now prepared a blog about my experience setting up Asterisk 11 with repro as a SIP proxy for WebSocket clients: http://danielpocock.com/using-resiprocate-to-connect-asterisk-webrtc In particular, the focus is on the use of packages because that makes it faster for more people to deploy identical working systems. To get the demo running for the WebSocket client, I really only needed to change about 5 lines in sip.conf - all other configuration i...
