Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable Package
Has anyone sucessfully installed and execute the Microsoft .NET Runtime under WINE? If not, is it even possible? I would be willing to even run the system in Win95/WinNT compatibility should it be necessary. samba 2.2.7 & MIT Kerberos 1.2.6
Hi, I'm new to this list so I apologise if this has been asked before. I'm trying to compile samba 2.2.7 with kerberos support. I have MIT Kerberos 1.2.6 installed and working as a KDC but when I samba wont compile with --with-krb5 configure works ok and finds the kerberos install but when I do a make I get this error on linking smbd: /usr/local/lib/libkadm5srv.so: undefined reference

Which branch of the Samba repository has Roland Penny's FSMO patch in it? I want to rebuild my Samba4 server packages so they resemble something reproduceable.

[LLVMdev] dragon egg + llvm for fortran to c translation
Thank you for your reply Dmitry! It would not be too great a deal, if I need to use previous versions as long as it would get the desired results :) Would the code from the IR be portable to different C compilers? I guess the resulting C code will not have too much resemblance to the input? cheers Philipp On 03/01/2013 05:02 PM, Dmitry Mikushin wrote: > DragonEgg only converts GCC's IR

[LLVMdev] dragon egg + llvm for fortran to c translation
Hi Philipp, Let me provide you with an example back from September 2011. Attached is original Fortran source, optimized LLVM IR and what we regenerated back into C from LLVM IR by means of C backend. As you can see, the C code closely resembles LLVM IR. I don't know what you intend to use it for (maybe some source-to-source compiler or DSL?), but to our experience, we had a system using C

R-Package for Recursive Partitioning without Classification or Regression
Hello, I have a question related to recursive partitioning, but I cannot find an answer, likely because I don't know how to properly word my Google search query. All recursive partitioning examples, which I can find, are used for either classification or regression trees like library(tree) data(iris) tree(Species ~ Sepal.Width + Petal.Width, data = iris) which implies building a

Backing up and restoring maildir folders
Hello, I am migrating to a different distribution of Linux that involves changing to an earlier version of dovecot (2.2.22 to 2.2.13). As part of this process, I will be copying several maildirs to the new machine. One of these has a number of files and directories that resemble this one example: cur/ dovecot.index dovecot.index.cache dovecot.index.log dovecot.mailbox.log dovecot-uidlist

Detecting DoS attacks via SIP
Hi all, Lately, I've seen an increase in the number of attacks against my system from the so-called "Friendly Scanner." When one of these script kiddies targets my server, all I see for symptoms is a few of my trunks become lagged due to server load and a stream of messages on the console that resemble this: [Aug 2 20:27:50] == Using SIP VIDEO CoS mark 6 [Aug 2 20:27:50] ==

Installing rails without gems
After reading the article about rails in OnLamp, I''ve decided to give it a try. In many way it resembles a product that I used to work several years ago, but based on Tcl. So I this might just be what a Pythonier as me needs to try out Ruby. :) Now the problem is, right now the computer where I want to play around with rails doesn''t have net access. I already downloaded the

Weird Excel Time Format
I have a 10-column XLS file, with 2 date fields. As far as I can tell, they were configured identically in Excel 2010. One of these fields resembles "39406.577662037", whilst in Excel, it is shown as "2007-11-20 13:42:20". Applying as.Date() with the default format doesn't do it. Any ideas as to what format this is? Many thanks! -- H -- Sent from my mobile device Envoyait

irregular time-series
I make quite a lot of use of irregular time-series, and had already spent a bit of time writing an 'its' class when the 'irts' class was released via the package 'tseries'. I have experimented with the 'irts' class, and have some practical issues with its use. In some applications of irregular time-series (in my case these are financial and econometric) there are

Incorrect disk size reported at 20.0 MB
All, I'm recently seeing an issue with how Samba is reporting the disk space available from a NFS share. Checking the properties from a PC system displays all mapped network drives as having 20.0 MB size with zero free disk space available. We updated to Samba version 3.0.11 this morning with no change in results. I have checked the bug reports and haven't found anything that resembles

RIDE-ME
I know these forums are typically for questions and such, but I thought some of you may be interested in this... It closely resembles Visual Studio in many respects, so if you''re a former ASP .NET developer like me, you''ll feel right at home. RIDE-ME is still

Return code for running stories
...the stories fail. For that, I need to set the right exit code. In turn, I need to know he result of the tests. Given the prescription of running stories: with_steps_for :accounts do run ''path/to/file/with/story'' end I see neither #with_steps_for, nor #run return anything resembling the result of the tests (which does not really surprise me). So how to get the success/pending/failure of the stories out? Should I write a formatter/listener that exit(1)s on failure? Bye, Kero. PS: I''m back after a few months, and -behold- it looks like I can use rspec for work, too :...

APC Back UPS?
