realtime ldap peer matching
...risk to correctly match the peers (at least for the natted peers to reach them)... anyway, how do I populate fullcontact "on the fly" with information from exten and userip? of course, i could just do it staticaly on ldap but since the info is already there why not make use of it? on res_ldap.conf i have "attribute = fullcontact => AstAccountFullContact" it would be nice to have something like: attribute = fullcontact => "sip:".$AstExten."@".$AstIPaddress or some kind of dialplan scripting to archieve this... cheers, Caio.

Asterisk LDAP Authentication Problem
Hi I want to authenticate the asterisk users from the LDAP directory server not from the sip.conf. I tried to use the astirectory-1.2<http://www.asterisk-ev.org/download/astirectory-1.2-0.3.tgz>. But i am not able to configure it properly. If somebody used it then please help. In the res_ldap.conf file i made the following entries. I am using my normal username and password to connect my asterisk server to the LDAP server of my organization. Is some administrator login is requried to connect ? [general] ldapuser=cn=chandan.mishra,dc=synapse,dc=com ldaphost=ldap://192.168.0.16 ldappass=...

Asterisk and LDAP
Hi, I'm trying to get Asterisk running with LDAP to be able to authenticate sip user registrations. I'm using Asterisk (1.8.13.1~dfsg1-3+deb7u3) on a Debian server. Unfortunately I wasn't successful so far. My res_ldap.conf looks like this (so pretty minimal): --- [_general] ;url=ldaps://ldap.chaotikum.org url=ldap://ldap.chaotikum.org protocol=3 basedn=dc=chaotikum,dc=org [sip] name = uid --- I've also added "alwaysauthreject=no" to sip.conf/[general] to easily check whether it's the user or...

Asterisk and OpenLDAP
Hello guys, i would like to implement authentication for my sip extension with an openldap server. Following this guide http://www.asteriskdocs.org/en/3rd_Edition/asterisk-book-html-chunk/ExternalServices_id291590.html i see a template named [sip] to map the information of sip peers into ldap. But i'm not interested to create a template, i would only authenticate sip extensions using username

SIP and IAX configuration from LDAP
Hi All, Had anyone got an idea of there exists an LDAP backend for SIP and IAX? I've read that there is a patch for LDAP realtime, but I hadn't seen any type of relevant configuration information. Any information on the above would be highly appreciated. Regards, Nir S -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

ldap questions
...lates with sipeers/users stored in ldap? like [barfoos](template) in the sip.conf file? 3. When a client registers I get the message "Couldn't modify 'name'='hp0021FE5452DB', dn:cn=hp0021FE5452DB,ou=phones,dc=scheff32,dc=de because Undefined attribute type". res_ldap.conf contains name = cn. The ldap user has full read/write permissions on the subtree ou=phones,dc=scheff32,dc=de. What is asterisk trying todo? Does it try to change the dn? Or does it try to add a new attribute 'name'? I use a more or less up2date asterisk-1.8-branch with the sche...

Using hint priority with LDAP extensions and users
Hi! I've configured LDAP to read both users and extensions from LDAP server. However, I'm experiencing problems with state tracking. Previously when using static files, I was able to map extension number with channel state using: [sip_phones] .... exten => 100,hint,SIP/user exten => user,hint,SIP/user .. rest of the dialplan ... Thus when someone called the user, hint SIP/user

Dozens of SIP NOTIFY messages with unique call ID's, and the same mailbox repeated multiple times on 1.6.2.6
...The same UA's with the same firmware and virtually the same configuration files work perfectly on 1.4.23.1 (the reg username and display name are different on 1.6.2.6). I do not see this behavior on the same system with a peer specified in sip.conf. I believe that this may be a bug with res_ldap in 1.6.2.6, however I don't think that I can rule out configuration issues until I pass it by the list first. Is there something that I am doing wrong here, or is this a bug? Thanks in advance for your help, it's greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact off-list as well. System: R...
