how to reroute all ADSL traffic via another server on the internet?
Hi all, Does anyone know, if it's possible to reroute all (i.e. HTTP / FTP / DNS / SMTP / POP3 / IMAP / etc) from an ADSL connected machine via another server, which is currently hosted with IS and has full internet access? i.e. Can I setup another machine, on a different public IP than the dynamic ADSL IP as default gw? OR do I need todo something...

zap: reroute incoming calls to dedicated channel
Hi ! I have a E100P and I would like to receive incoming calls on dedicated channels only. Is it possible to answer an incoming call request on channel 2-30 from the Telco with something like 'busy, use channel 1 instead' ? If this is possible, how could it be implemented / configured ? share bandwith between vpns
...ps tc filter del dev $DEV protocol ip parent 1:0 prio 1 u32 match ip src $5 flowid 1:2${1/ppp/} where $DEV is server''s outgoing interface, $RATEUP is outgoing bandwith and $VPNS is maximum possible vpn connections. maybe there is more better method? and what to do with incomming traffic? reroute it on imq? and as I understand there is can''t be a transparent proxy? please help p.s. sorry for my english.... transparent PAT
...y. I''m hoping it''ll be enough. ----Internet---- | | | eth0 machine A routing+ipchains eth1 | ------------------ machine B So, given I''m running kernel 2.4.19 and using ipchains (don''t ask me why, but I''m bounded to this config), I would like to reroute everything that''s passing thru eth1 on machine A from the internal lan and has dport XXXX to the same port on machine B. The hole thing has to be completely transparent. I tried some "advanced routing" stuff, like marking those packets with fwmark and building a separate routin...

Dealing with progress codes
...redirected to a message (by the provider) saying 'You do not need to dial a one or zero...' and the message repeats indefinitely. I'd like to figure out how to handle this in the dial plan so users do not even know anything happened. To test to see if I could stop the call progress and reroute it I've tried this so far: exten => _NXXXXXXXXX,1,Set(GROUP(default)=dialpool) exten => _NXXXXXXXXX,2,GotoIf($[${GROUP_COUNT(priout at default)}<19]?5) exten => _NXXXXXXXXX,3,GotoIf($[${GROUP_COUNT(congest at default)}>18]?BLOCK) exten => _NXXXXXXXXX,4,NoOp exten => _NXXX...

(no subject)
I am attempting to forward http requests to my external interface, from internal machines to a machine that is located on the internal interface, via the firewall rules. Externally, I am able to forward the port to the webserver located behind the firewall, and I want to use the same hostname/ip for clients if they are on both sides of the firewall. Note, that I only want to do just the one port,

Can I let routes.rb take precedence over file names?
...ied to catch them with a route like map.connect ''pages/:pagename'' However this only works if the file does not exist; e.g. "pages/test.html" will only be routed if that file doesn''t exist, otherwise it will just show the file. Is there any other way I can reroute url''s of existing html files? The reason I need to use the real directory and file names is that these html pages contain images and cross-links which still need to work. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Can 404.html use the default layout?
Hi everyone, How do I get the 404.html to use the default layout in app/layouts/application.rhtml? Or is that the wrong question? Should I be rerouting 404 errors to an application controller action, which I can then customize as a 404? Thanks, Sean

Re: h323ep----gnugk-----astersik------h323ext
HI; Thanks for your reply. The reason for why I am going through asterisk in such case is just "using asterisk voicemail service" I mean: ATA1 calls ATA2, suppose ATA2 is unreachable or he is not at the office, then the call reroute (my GK is able to reroute calls if the first route is not valid) to atersik for voicemail service. Do you think I can handle it with asterisk native h323 channel???????/ Regards; mohammad ----- Original Message ----- From: "administrator tootai" <admin@tootai.net> To: "...

OT: cvs passwd scripting
...t the OT: I'd like to write a script that once a week updated my wine CVS sources for me. There's just one catch: I don't know how to give a response to the passwd for the cvs tree from a script. I checked out the advanced bash scripting at tldp.org, but I couln't get Standard I/O rerouting to do what I wanted. Could someone give me a pointer, or point me in the right direction on how to pass a passwd back to the cvs server? Two Gateways and NAT??

My question is; will TCP connections that NAT.ed over interface ISP1 break if a failover happens and rerouted over ISP2?? ICMP Error
...vers. However, I find it somewhat annoying to having this pop up on the screen when I am in the middle of doing something. I also noticed that if I stop Samba (v2.0.0), the message goes away. The messages also go away if I go back to kernel 2.0.36. Anyone have any hints on how I can suppress or reroute the message and still run Samba v2.0.0 and kernel 2.2.0 pre9? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Regards - Bob Kruger

TCP Segment offloading + DF
...wever I found an issue. I had to track down an issue today: Packet from a local machine didn''t get routed to the internet. After long searching I found the issue: The TCP-Segmentation-offloading assembles fragments with Do Not Fragment set. This introduces issues when the packet is to be rerouted trough a router. Situation: DOM0 |->Bridge 1 - MTU 1500 | |-> PHY - eth0 | |-> VIF - Dom1 | \-> VIF - Dom2 (router) | \->Bridge 2 - MTU 1500 |-> PHY - eth1 \-> VIF - Dom2 (router) Dom 1 <-> VIF <--(bridge 1)--> VIF <-> d...

instant fallback to zap in case of sip/iax/xyz-failure
...). i could limit a call by setting a timeout but this limit would also apply if a final destination doesn't pick up within the timeout. so basically, when i send a call via a sip-channel, i would like to know the network-status of the foreign host immediately(at least within 5 seconds) so i can reroute the call without having to wait for a host that is probably dead... this seems to be possible with iax and CHANUNAVAIL, (http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=3360&history=1), though i haven't tried it. also i _need_ to use sip, iax (currently) is not an option. is the...

Wan Simulation / Bw/Latency testing
...cted and also that the linux box shall add latency on all packets going through. Another "Wish/Feature" is that from the test client, it shall be possible to send the Web Request against any of the incoming interfaces with a PORT specification, for instance 192.168.4.1:8080 and it will be rerouted to192.168.100.1:8080 with the added latency and bandwidth restriction. Am i completely lost here, or is it so that this is possible to do in Linux ??
