Re: Problem when trying to play Monkey Island 2 Special Edition
MI2 starts ok but when I click new game it just kinda freezes, though the music keeps playing. Any ideas? last line is:

Could you post your .wine/user.reg ? the DllOverrides section?

ANN: OMTK WPlayer (Flash/Java Vorbis Player)
...splayed when using the Java engine on Opera. There are still some
licensing issues to be clarified on parts of the Flash code, so by now,
it's only this demo available and no source code. The Java engine is
based on J-Ogg (www.j-ogg.de), but I am planning to refurbish the old
J-Ogg code and rerelease it in the OMTK project. The French web radio
Frequence3.fr kindly allowed me to use their stream for this demo and
they have already signalled interest in using the player on their web page.
CPU load when decoding Vorbis with the Flash engine is still an issue
and I am unfortunately quite sure...

Flash Vorbis player
Hi,
I wanted to let you know that I have just made available the sources
to the ogg + vorbis implementation in haXe, which I've been working on
for last couple of weeks. The code compiles to an swf file playable in
Flash Player 10.
A demo of a simple player implementation (latest Flash 10 required):

Re: [livid-ovd] putting the video into ogg multimedia
I'll get to the technical aspects of these letters in a bit; they require an a
little thought and I'm knee deep in the codebook engine right now...

putting the video into ogg multimedia
With both vorbis and libmng nearing stable status, I've been thinking
about combining the two to make a real multimedia format. What would be
involved in embedding mng in an ogg bitstream? From what I've read of the
documentation, there doesn't seem to be any codec-enumeration system. Do
we just interleave the packets and let the player guess based on the
headers which codec to try? I

PATCH: Forcible delaying of UFS (soft)updates
Here's a patch against 4.8-RELEASE kernel that allows disk writes on
softupdates-enabled filesystems to be delayed for (theoretically)
arbitrarily long periods of time. The motivation for such updating
policy is surprisingly not purely suicidal - it can allow disks on
laptops to spin down immediately after I/O operations and stay idle for
longer periods of time, thus saving considerable amount
