windows 7 logon problem
...to the domain from windows xp proffesional so i would
assume a its a windows 7 problem, but no windows forums are of any use.
my samba version is 3.5.4
i have made the changes to registry:
HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Netlogon\Parameters
DWORD RequireSignOrSeal = 1
DWORD RequireStrongKey = 1
DWORD DisablePasswordChange = 1
any ideas how to fix this?

does no good.

Samba-2.2.8a & LDAP - Can't join Domain - SID mapping error
...error occurred attempting to join the domain "MY_DOMAIN"
No mapping between account names and security IDs was done.
Running Gentoo Linux

Hi.
Is there any option to join Windows 7 RC to domain? Message from windows
is : The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

Haven't tested that yet, but you should get some steps
further.

I would suggest that it has something todo with the default setting of
RequireSignOrSeal or RequireStrongKey which defaults to 0 in windows
2000 afaik, but I'm not sure. Any other suggestions ?

Windows 8.1 Join Domain
I have Samba 3.6.6 configured as a domain controller, but am unable to
get new machines to join the domain. I've set the WINS on these machines
in the IPv4 network configuration and get as far as entering my samba
(ldap) credentials, but the whirlything spins for a while then says it
cannot contact the domain, domain does not exist.
If a machine had already been part of the domain when it

Windows 7 Issues
i have been trying to join my windows 7 machines in a samba domain, but it
aways fails.
I can join a windows 7 machine in a Samba domain. Then i have an error:
_netr_ServerAuthenticate3: netlogon_creds_server_check failed. Rejecting
auth request from client USER machine account USER$
But the machine joined. Then, when i will log in with an user, i cant do it,

Samba PDC
OK, I am trying to setup my first Samba PDC on a FreeBSD 8.1 host. When
