how lambda is computed in smoot.spline given _df_
Hi,
I posted some days ago a question concerning the computation of lambda in the smooth.spline function (which I repreat at the bottom of the mail) given _df_ .
Unfortunately the documentation is not clear to me. Maybee someone can help to answer in my view the basic question:
If the penalized log likelihood is L = (y - f)' W (y - f) + lambda c' Sigma c
how the _lambda_ in the above equation is computed i...

I want to make a program that will use priorty measures as to which
result should show up first.
So I know of to make a program that searches for keywords to see if its

\code{chartr} translates each character in \code{x} that is specified
in \code{old} to the corresponding character specified in \code{new}.
Ranges are supported in the specifications, but character classes and
- repreated characters are not. If \code{old} contains more characters
+ repeated characters are not. If \code{old} contains more characters
than new, an error is signaled; if it contains fewer characters, the
extra characters at the end of \code{new} are ignored.
