You might also want to look at repoview(8). It will generate a
searchable website for you. See

repoview comparable alternative
It seems that in the context of EL8 the tool RepoView that creates static HTML pages out of a
yum repository is obsolet because of the missing yum python modules (EL8 comes with dnf). Further
more it seems also be abandoned [*] and I do not expect to appear in EPEL8. Does someone uses a
similar tool to generate browseable repo HTML pages?

I started writing that sentence and realized it was rpmfusion, which is the correct URL. Ignore the elrepo.org <http://elrepo.org/> mention.

mod_bandwidth
Is there a compiled mod_bandwidth rpm in CentOS or EPEL?
I can't seem to find it, what name does it use if there is one?
Basically all I need to do is find a way to severely throttle apache for
testing an upload progress bar - my bandwidth on my lan is too fast, the
progress bar either only gets one update or none by the time the files
are uploaded (5 8 megapixel jpegs) - even when I use

need some help with compiling mod_gnutls
Hi everybody,
I want to build mod_gnutls. The problem: CentOS' version of GNUTLS is too
old to link against, so I compiled and installed GNUTLS from source and put
it into /opt where it doesn't hurt the already installed GNUTLS. Now I have
trouble linking against this version as the autoconf buildchain in
mod_gnutls does not find the newer version.
I tried like this:
./configure

httpd with SNI
Hi!
I am currently publishing some web services on a Centos 5.3 server on my
office using the included apache httpd. They are available from the Internet,
and they require validation (username/password). I would like to publish them
all under https, so the passwords won't travel unencrypted, but then all my
sites use the same certificate on apache httpd. The solution to this is
using an

repository for mod_security
I want to add mod_security to my Apache server running CentOS 5.3 and am
trying to find a repository to get it from. I found it in EPEL, but
they have version 2.1.7, which is over a year old according to what I
found on the modsecurity.org website. Is there a repository which is
keeping this up to date? Or should I just build it from source?

CPAN module install problem
I could use some assistance getting CPAN functional again. CPAN stopped
working on Centos 4.2 x64, and I can no longer install modules. I did a
install Bundle::CPAN and upgraded to 1.8.2, and perl was updated
afterwards via yum update. The error seems related to GPG, does anyone
know if 1.8.2 added new restrictions on signatures?

TinyCA2 on rpmforge EL4 but not EL5
...TinyCA2 on my Centos5 setup.
I had a real learning experience the last time around (last year, July)
and in the end, I got the repo down from Dag's site and was cool.
Now I am on Centos 5 and no TinyCA2.
Can I just download the EL4 rpm from:
http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el4/en/i386/dag/repodata/repoview/tinyca2-0-0.7.5-2.el4.rf.html
and do a yum localinstall ?
Or do I have to wait for it to appear as an EL5 rpm?

Problems compiling PostgreSQL package from FC8 on CentOS 5
Dear CentOS list
we are a small software company making mostly web driven GIS software.
We started to simplify out sysadmin life making RPM packages of most of
the GIS software stack. For a dependency issue we had to abandon the
upstream 8.1 PostgreSQL and install at least a 8.2 version. Taking the
package from Fedora 8 and rebuilding it for x86_64 went smoothly.
Unfortunatly the same is

Pre-packaged Python 2.7 for 32-bit CentOS 6?
Either this doesn?t exist or my Google-foo is failing me this morning. I keep coming across the Software Collections Repository (http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/SCL), but that is for 64-bit only.
Before I attempt to create Python-2.7 RPMs for 32-bit CentOS 6 to install into /usr/local or /opt/python-2.7, I wonder if someone else has done this so I don?t have to re-invent

"Can't install ... as no transaction" from PackageKit (CentOS 6)
...meaning of a
"transaction" anyway? Mind you, I believe I understand the word
perfectly well, but in the above sentence it still makes no sense to me...
To reproduce this, you may try (on a CentOS 6) system:
1. In a web browser, go to
http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/5/x86_64/repoview/mail-notification.html
or
http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/5/i386/repoview/mail-notification.html
depending on your architecture.
2. Click on the rpm link.
3. Select "Open with"->"Package Installer (default)".
4. Answer "Install" when asked if you...
