Samba 4.5.2, 4.5.3, 4.5.4 as secondary DC to Windows 2008 R2
Dear All, I am running a two location SOHO network with a Microsoft AD on a Windows 2008 R2 server. The only secondary DC is a Microsoft HyperV VM running on the same Windows machine. My aim is to become more independent from Microsoft products. Nevertheless, I need to upgrade my server to Windows 2016 sometime soon - which does not mean that the DC level needs to be upgraded to Server 2016

Duplicate mails with pop3 + dsync replication
Hi, When I enable (and it only happens when it is actually running) replication over TCP my users get duplicate mails via pop3. Here?s what happens: * User gets mail * Mail appears in (Maildir) new/ folder on both replicas * user retrieves mail (retr), calls dele. Mail still exists in new/ folder on both replicas. * user runs retr (and gets the duplicate) and dele a second time, the mail is

R - box design-scatter plot für means/regression/lme?
...10 Boxen (5 shadow, 5 sun) Now, for each treatment I took out 2 pellets which I then measured fr different variables. I did this at 3 time point: 0, 6 and 12 days after set up. So I have now following Data: Giraffe dung: wet/ dry treatment under shadow/sun condition, 3 collection times, always 5 Replikate Same for the Wildebeest dung. For the pellets I measured following variables: DW.P = dry weight pro pellet WL= water loss Ctot= total carbon Ntot=total nitrogen Now, for my statistics I used: lme(Y ~ Day*water.T*shadow.T*dung.T, random=~Day|Box/Pot) but apperently I have to fit a linear correlati...

Migrate NT4 Dom -> Samba 3.0.2a
Hi, I'm testing the migration of an NT4 Domain onto a Samba-Server. Now I'm at the point to migrate users and maschine accounts. It works fine for some users but not for all! This is the output: <- # net rpc vampire -w samba Fetching DOMAIN database SAM_DELTA_DOMAIN_INFO not handled Creating account: Administrator Creating account: Gast [2004/02/19 12:40:28, 0]

Duplicate mails with pop3 + dsync replication
FWIW I just tried the sdbox mailbox format for a singe user (not the whole installation) by overriding the mail-userattr via ldap and the problem persists, so I don?t think it?s an issue with maildir per se, but rather a pop3 / replication issue or a misconfiguration on my side. Duplicate mails with pop3 + dsync replication
It turns out that if I enable this option: pop3_deleted_flag = "$POP3Deleted? The issue no longer persists. I have to manually expunge the kept mails that have been deleted via pop3 though: doveadm expunge mailbox INBOX KEYWORD '$POP3Deleted' -A Wolfgang > On 21 Jun 2015, at 21:05, Wolfgang Hennerbichler <wogri at wogri.com> wrote: > > FWIW I just tried the sdbox

pdbedit password policy - not updating ldapsam
I have Samba and LDAP up and running, but I'm having problems editing the password policy using pdbedit. (I'm running 3.0.22) I've had a look at the man page for pdbedit but I don't really fully understand what it does in relation to passwd backends. Does pdbedit update just one backend and expect a user to export the updates to other backends? I think I've set up ldap as
