Reorganize data fram
Hi,
I have a data frame of about 700 000 rows which look something like this:
Date Temperature Category
2007102 16 A
2007102 17 B
2007102 18 C
but need it to be:
Date TemperatureA TemperatureB TemperatureC
2007102 16 17 18
Any suggestions?

[LLVMdev] Reorganizing the documentation.
...d in
<http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.compilers.llvm.cvs/115358>.
The first step is going to be to inline all of the pages that are just
below the current homepage (subsystems.rst, programming.rst, etc.)
into the homepage, bringing back {Ctrl,Cmd}-f'ability. Once that is
done, further reorganization can take place.
Sound good? Anybody have any objections?

Reorganizing Puppet Documentation
Greetings,
As the first step in a move to better organize the documentation,
we''re planning to reorganize it into more specific subsections. The
proposed subsections are listed below. If you have any feelings
about the reorganization or would like to call attention to a need
for documentation in one area of the project or another, please feel
free to contribute your views here for consideration and discussion.

I am trying to convert the organization of a data frame so I can do some
correlations between stocks,
I have something like this:
stock.returns <-
data.frame(rbind(c("MSFT","20110301",0.05),c("MSFT","20110302",0.01),c("GOOG","20110301",-0.01),c("GOOG","20110302",0.04)))

Note: /download/ directory reorganized
I reorganized the download directory to make it a bit
less confusing:
http://libguestfs.org/download/
Unfortunately this breaks all previous source URLs:
old: http://libguestfs.org/download/libguestfs-1.5.4.tar.gz
new: http://libguestfs.org/download/1.5-development/libguestfs-1.5.4.tar.gz
Also I'm going to put some binaries in this directory later today, for
people not using Fedora

Hi!
As many of you will have noticed already, I took the liberty to reorganize
the CVS tree structure. This was needed to get a better seperation
between independent parts of the project. =20
pserver.netfilter.org:/cvspublic now has the following modules:

Reorganization of packages in the R distribution
After long but intermittent discussion (it was mentioned at DSC99, for
example), we have reorganized the standard packages, with
base graphics stats utils methods
normally loaded,
mle splines stepfun tcltk tools
available for loading, and
ctest eda lqs modreg mva nls ts
as stub packages which ensure back-compatibility. (These have all been
merged into stats except lqs which rejoins

Proposal: On re-purposing/reorganizing MIR sigils ('&', '$', '%').
Hi
A few of us have discussed enhancing the MIR vregs to include support for
named-vregs. At the moment named regs are only supported for physical
registers and number regs are reserved for vregs.
We've decided that to properly implement a syntax for MIR named vregs we
first need to reorganized the sigils used for physical registers and
external symbols so our proposal is to swap the sigil

Proposal: On re-purposing/reorganizing MIR sigils ('&', '$', '%').
Can we use %% for vregs? Seems slightly easier to remember %/%% than $/%.
Also, %eax and $some_symbol are already familiar from typical assembly
syntax and we probably don't want to break that association.
It's all a bikeshed, but being more consistent with assembly is probably a
win.

.First and base reorganization in R 1.9.0
I noticed that, in R1.9.0 beta where the old 'base' package has been split into 4, '.First' gets executed with just the new 'base' loaded, before 'stats' 'utils' and 'graphics' are available. The NEWS file does warn that this will be the case for .Rprofile, but doesn't mention .First.
Is this actually the intended behaviour where .First is

svn reorganized?
It appears the repository has been rearranged when compared to the
documentation. For the Rails plugin, the correct script/plugin
install now seems to be:
script/plugin install svn://rubyforge.org/var/svn/rspec/trunk/
rspec_on_rails
Is this correct?
