...ch in that the "Twinview" option wasn't available (it was present but grayed out) on the NVidia control panel, but entering nvidia-xconfig --twinview on the command line as root did the trick.

VT 64bit kernel with >4Gb RAM
Hi there,
I have the lucky task to setup a Xen system.
my plateform is a dell 2950 with 16Gb of RAM.
I got as far as setting up debian sarge and xen following

PLZ HELP - ROR on Redhat Linux :: Problem with backgroundrb
Hi,
I have successfully crossed all the hurdles to install Ruby on rails on
a redhat 5 Linux based system.
But the last and the biggest hurdle i am facing at this moment is
installing backgrounrb :(
I followed all the steps from the http://backgroundrb.rubyforge.org/
1. sudo gem install chronic packet
2. script/plugin install svn://rubyforge.org/var/svn/backgroundrb

How to tell R where to look for libgcc
...uot; is
generated. R is finding the old gcc version of libgcc which is in
/usr/local/lib, instead of the newer one which is in lib. We've tried
setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /lib, but that has no effect.
Is there a way to force R to look in /lib for libgcc?
