Hollander's test of bivariate symmetry
Does anyone know if any R package has a function that will conduct Hollander's test of bivariate symmetry? (Hollander, Biometrika, 1971) Either the exact test or an asymptotic version would be sufficient for my purposes. Thanks. understanding lexical scope
...lowing example does not work: q <- function(y) {x + y}; w <- function(x){q(x)}; w(2); According to the discussion of Scope on page 46, it seems to me that R will interpret the free variable x in q as the parameter x in w, and so will give w(2) = 2+2. understanding recursive functions
...<- function(x,h) {if (x < 2) {x <<- x+1; return(q(x))} else return(x)} If x < 1, this should add 1 to x and go back to the beginning of the if expression, and the final result should be 2. So q(0) should return 2. But it returns an error message. [Q] multicasting product ?
Hi everybody! Now that RSYNC has RSYNC+ included a good usage would be to use RSYNC+ to gather update-date, then multicast that on your hosts and process it. So my question is: does anyone know of a product which does reliable multicasting? (source available would be preferred) Simple pointers are appreciated; if noone has one I'm thinking about writing one myself. Thanks for all help!
