Zoning Out
...erface tun0. I will then route whole subnets to those IPs, like 10.100.2.0/24 via 10.100.1.12, etc. I want to have a policy for: - all hosts behind tun0 - all hosts in 10.100.1.0/24 - individual subnets being routed through IPs in 10.100.1.0/24 So, I think I need: interfaces: - tun0 hosts: remote1 tun0:10.100.2.0/24 routers tun0:10.100.1.0/24 remote tun0:0.0.0.0/8 zones: remote1 routes remote In rules & policy I would list rules in order by remote1, routers, remote. Does this seem correct? Where do I put the routeback so that routers can see each other? Thanks, A.

Help
...now every time I rsync the directory over it takes like hours to create the file list. Now I'm fine with that, but I need to know if it can save the file list it generates and uses it over again for the other machines? Now my script is pretty basic: rsync -urvlopg --delete /local/dir rsync://remote1/MODULE repeat this ten times for remote1 through remote10. I want to speed up this process by making it so it only gets the file list once and copies the updates it needs to each machine. Right now when the script runs it will rsync generate file list, copy the files to the remote and then fi...

equal cost multipath routing and incoming services...
...and overview: Network A connects to Core1 and Core2 via 100mbit ethernet, and uses a virtual default gateway IP address provided by UCARP. Core1 and Core2 are each connected to Border1 and Border2 via 100mbit ethernet links. Border1 is connected to ISP1 via a T1, same thing with Border2 and ISP2. Remote1 is on a T1, Remote2 is on a DSL line. Each remote router connects via IPSec to both Border1 and Border2. We run GRE tunnels over these IPSec connections and route traffic over the GRE tunnels using OSPF with Quagga. This allows us to do failover and load balancing. The core router tier does not ex...

Integrity checking NANOBSD images
...The remote links are dialup so I dont have a lot of bandwidth available. I want to do integrity checks of the images so that I can detect any tampering of the flash image. If I upload a static sha256 binary to /tmp on the remote box (which is a RAM disk) and then do something like e.g. # ssh remote1.example.com "mkdir /tmp/rand-directory" # scp /usr/local/bin/sha256 remote1.example.com:/tmp/rand-directory/sha256 # scp /usr/local/bin/dd remote1.example.com:/tmp/rand-directory/dd # ssh remote1.example.com "/tmp/rand-directory/dd if=/dev/ad2s1a bs=4096k | /tmp/rand-directory/sha2...
