firefox keeps downloading .iso files
...download two .iso files into Desktop.
Until recently,
I wouldn't notice until it announced that it had run out of room.
At that point I would click on the messages to make them go away.
In the mean time, it had been chewing up bandwidth.
One file, I had tried to download by mistake.
Don't remmeber what I did with it on purpose.
The other I downloaded into a partition with more room.
I found this:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/926609
I did not like the side-effects.
For now, I've stopped the downloads by replacing
the target files with empty unreadable files.
Now I get an...

DB Admin Console
Over the past few months, I''ve developed an administrative console for
databases in the process of solving other problems.
At the moment, the state of development is:
* Going to /admin_panel/model will bring you to a list of items in the
model:
* Supports acts_as_list via drag/drop sorting
* Supports "activated" via an activated/deactivated button
* Supports basic

What we are thinking is like follows:
1.Both node A and node B read file foo, the cache is ok and do not =
truncate when closing.
2.When Node B open fo...

save position of spawned windows?
When I run a windowed application, wine remmebers window size and position. So
far, so good.
When the running app however spawns a new window, it's always in the upper
left corner and has default size - example: ACDSee when switching from
browser to viewer mode.
Can I make wine remember the spawned windows' geometry?

The truncate_inode_page call in ocfs_file_release causes the severethroughput drop of file reading in OCFS2.
Hi,
We have investigated the possible causes of the severe
throughput drop of file reading in OCFS2 that found in the iozone
benchmark. We find the major cause is the inadequate inode page cache
cleaning when open or close the last reference to an inode.
In routine ocfs_file_release(), if the caller is the last
reference to this inode, truncate_inode_page is called to invalidate all

MS asks for feedback on standards support in Outlook/Exchange

Microsoft Outlook 2013
Outlook 2013 implements the IMAP LIST extension specified in [RFC6154]
as the XLIST command.

so it may more a typical microsoft doku problem *g
but however ,in fact no working trouble with dovecot SPECIAL-USE

the problem whas there should get fixed was outlooks meaning of the Junk
folder stuff, which is basicly done in another way by having its own
antispam feature setup, so there are a few way to workaround that
problem which i never tested and never will.
My simple answer alway...

R memory and CPU requirements
Thanks for all the help on my previous questions.
One more (hopefully last one) : I've been very
surprised when I tried to fit a model (using aov())
for a sample of size 200 and 10 variables and their
interactions.
It turns out that even 2GB of RAM is not anough for
aov() with this sample size, which does not seem so
big for me. Am I doing something wrong or this is
considered a normal

Might be buying a Mac
I might be buying a Mac tomorrow. I checked out the new 13.3in MacBook at the new Apple Store on 5th ave in NYC. I''m torn between the smaller MacBook and the MacBook Pro. We have a pro at work and I''m not that thrilled with the way it feels. I like the keyboard much better on the 13inch. However, I think doing development on that small of a screen could get frustrating. Any

Having problems with Samba and openLDAP Groups
I'm getting a little closer and understanding how the logs, etc work. I
can log onto a Samba share, can read and write to my home directory, but
I'm concerned about trying to get the file share Staff to work - want it
to be read and write to the Group named Staff. I have set up the group
and added myself to the group
If I do a smbldap-groupshow Staff - I get
sudo smbldap-groupshow
