Flushing (Reset) 'last.warning'
Dear members of the mailing list,
I want to fetch warnings() from a series of prop.test calls. I want to
get "none" if no warning is issued, and "warning" if there is a problem.
I have looked (and relooked) at options(warn) and warning(), warnings()
and 'last.warning' but to no avail. I am a biologist, so the "R language
areas" are hard to fully understand.
I cannot flush the warnings before each prop.test calls; hence if there
is no warning, instead of "" I get (obviou...

vesamenu samples?
...e sites, and all kinds of
users. I'd like to make it as easy as possible to avoid problems. This
vesamenu does elimanate the problem with entering the kernel name, but
at the moment, it looses the help info.
I also scanned the over 3000 emails I have in my syslinux folder, and
relooked at all the messages that had vesamenu in them.

Polly is already divided into analysis and transformation passes.
However, the interface is currently specific to the needs of polyhedral
optimizers. If there is interest to use e.g.

Quicken Home & Office 2002
First, let me apologize if this has been asked/answered numerous times,
but I cannot seem to find a searchable mailing list archive for
wineusers.
After a 1.5 year break from trying to get quicken home & office 2002 to
work under wine, I tried again this weekend. Install went well. I
could not register because the registration box was empty -- though it
seemed to get further than it has in

Bug#258427: logcheck/logtail didn't detect tampering logfile
Package: logcheck
wanted to work on #195935,
but found a less than funny issue, easy to reproduce:
* remove some lines in front of your logfile
* invoke logcheck
you'll get a big email with all not matching lines from that log.
not setting that to high priority because you are getting also the
newer loglines. don't know if i find time that weekend.
wanted to document it anyways.

FW: TellMe pay-as-you-go? - UPDATE
...as to have
Tellme set up a website where anyone with a credit card could log in and
purchase blocks of time in advance.
Unfortunately Tellme have decided that they are only interested in
taking commercial customers at this time (though have indicated that
from Jan they would be in a position to relook at this situation). Below
is an email between myself and Bryan which gives you an idea on what we
were looking to develop.
It's a great opportunity for commercial high volume applications to
deliver speech without the outlay (if you are one of these contact me
for details on the trials) how...

www.r-project.org
Dear R users and developpers,
My question is adressed to both of you, so I choose R-help to post it.
Are there any plans to jazz up the main R website : http://www.r-project.org
The look it have now is the same for a long time and kind of sad
compared to other statistical package's website. Of course, the
comparison is not fair, since companies are paying web designers to draw

Help interpreting RAID1 space allocation
I''ve created a test volume and copied a bulk of data to it, however the
results of the space allocation are confusing at best. I''ve tried to
capture the history of events leading up to the current state. This is
all on a Debian Wheezy system using a 3.10.5 kernel package
(linux-image-3.10-2-amd64) and btrfs tools v0.20-rc1 (Debian package
0.19+20130315-5). The host uses an
