Asterisk testbed for teaching connecting to a PRI-ISDN
Hi, I would like to realize a voip testbed that should simulate the scenario in which two companies have an asterisk PBX connected through a PRI-ISDN to the Telco operator. I have no experience of T1/E1 connection but I think that the above could be relized with 3 asterisk boxes equipped with Digium TE405P cards. One of the box will represent the Telco, the other two, the two companies PBX. I would like to know if it is needed something between the point-point connections or it is possible to just cross-connect them. I need the testbed to be represe...

Re: CentOS-docs Digest, Vol 13, Issue 2
...creating XEN VMs and sharing YUM repositories and stuff at my blog, http://mytechrantings.blogspot.com/2007/08/centos-5-selinux-xen-squid-yum-cache.html But as per feedback I realized that it was to chaotic and full of ramblings and was suggested to write some how tos. I from my experience on Net relized that how tos expect this to be a perfect world and miss ot things that can go wrong and generally will. So I decided to write introductions/guides to diferent parts of the installation process in a Q&A format. And to begin with I wrote an article on NFS, which is available here http://mytechr...

rsync -x does not do the same on EL 5.6 and 5.7
...011-September/026766.html Am I really the only one having problems with the new behaviour? It affects all user running "rsync -x". The problem only shows up after new mount points have been added to a subdirectory which is processed by rsync -x. That may be the reason why not many people relize it. Still, I don't see the logic behind the change which is why I take this here to hear what others think. Thanks, Simon

Two-Sided: H0: mean=0 vs. H1: mean!=0 2. One Sided: H0: mean>=0 vs. H1: mean<0 I hope you can help me Thanks in advance Regards, Andreas

[LLVMdev] PATCH: Registry template
This is a template that takes care of managing plugin registries. I wrote it because I got the distinct feeling I was needlessly reinventing the wheel as I wrote a collector registry. I haven't converted anything else to use it, though. Still, it's orthogonal and has become stable in my usage, so I thought I'd submit it in advance. To get my collector registry going, all I

speed of samba vs Windows
Is there any reason to believe that a samba server would be slower when serving up roaming profiles than a real Windows server? I know roaming profiles are slow by nature and that there are things you can do to help like configuring ffolder redirection. But all else being equal, how would a samba server compare to a Windows server when it comes to speed specifically with respect to roaming
