I have a method in my controller like the following (the syntax may not be correct, I''m doing this from memory - you should be able to get the idea though) My rhtml page has a DIV with id="country_areas", which contains a partial that only makes a drop down of country areas for a specific country. When changing the country in the country drop down, it uses the

Patch to add Unicode filename support for win32 flac
...> Don't do that, it leaks into the system headers and breaks mingw if > FLAC_USE_FOPEN_UTF8 is defined. > > Call the wrappers directly instead of using a macro. +1 Yep, I prefer not to have too much #ifdef hackery. In my recent replacement of all the sprintf/_snprintf stuff, I relaced all the calls with a call to flac_snprintf() and localised #ifdef hackery to the implementation of that function.

column name changes based on substrings
Hi peoples, I'm trying to work out a function which will allow me to relace column names on the basis of substrings within the existing names. e.g. I'd like: blah.Na blah2.Na blah3.Mg blah4.Mg blah5.K blah6.K R1 x x x x x x R2 x x x x x x ... to become: Na (%) Na (%) Mg (%) Mg

randomForest Species Distribution Modelling
Hi, I appologise if this is a rudimentary question and long winded but I just wanted to let ye know where I'm comming from. I'm new to R and I'm trying to use the 'randomForest' package to classify and predict. The Error message that is troubling me is: > pr<-predict(predictors,rf1, ext=ext) Error in x[...] <- m : NAs are not allowed in subscripted assignments In

Buffer Overflows in WindowMaker/LibPropList
Back in June when I was fooling around with some programs I was writing, I found a serious buffer overflow in WindowMaker 0.60.0 and 0.52, but I assume previous versions are vulnerable as well. By replacing argv[0] of a program with a string longer than 249 characters, it is possible to overflow one of the programs buffers, causing it, and possibly X as well to crash. It is assumed this can

network design philosophy and practice
I'm wondering how prevalent the practice of physically segregating voice and data networks is in the Real World. What are the factors that typically lead to such a decision? This leads to the INTERNAL ERROR, see samba.oulx Now, to locate the problem, I tried the same kind of command on the same file, bugs.ps, but using the SMBCLIENT application from the Linux server itself, without changing anything, nor restarting the SMBd
