Adding Printer Drivers for existing Printers (Win2000, WinNT x86)

from the admin list he has -NO- rights for the printer anyway.
The subdirectories of [print$] (W32X86) meanwhile are world-writeable
(777) as is the print-share itself (for testing/debugging purpose:-)
If anyone already has a solution for this or any hint's, I would
apreciate!
kind regards,

Compiling --with-ldap on Solaris 9
I am trying to compile the small Samba 3.0.2a source on Solaris 9 to use
ldap. The ./configure run reports: "WARNING: libldap is needed for LDAP
support". The Solaris installation has it's native libldap installed in
/usr/lib, but the configuration does not seem to find it. Would anyone know
what I am missing? Thanks...dlb

3.0.2rc1, LDAP, Solaris 9 and secondary group problem - Bug 395?
...instead of nss_ldap from Padl
* no problem on Solaris 8 but on Solaris 9
I have a second question regarding the test program from Hansj?rg.
The program compiles on Linux, but no succes on Solaris. Is getgrouplist()
available under Solaris? And if not, what is the replacement.
Thanks in advance,
Reinhard

Migrating DomUs from file VBD to LVM Backend
...he easiest and fastest way to migrate a file based DomU to a
LVM based DomU. Given that the file contains a partition table + partitions.
I tried with an dummy approach:
dd if=/path/to/file.img of=/dev/volumegroup/logical-volume.
That gives me a logical volume that xm create refuses to use....

Solaris 9 and secondary group info from LDAP
...() and ldap_domain2hostlist.
* My impression is that there is something wrong with the interaction
OpenLDAP libs <-> Solaris libs. Is this assumption correct?
* Am I at the right place to ask for help? Is it better to ask the
people at OpenLDAP.org or, maybe, even at Sun?
Thanks,

Access to shares is denied after upgrading from 3.6.3 (openSUSE 12.1) to 4.1.17 (openSUSE 13.2)
...10938) failed
According to these wiki entries
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_a_Samba_AD_Member_Server
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_Member_Server_Troubleshooting
there is nothing special in my setup, so I have absolutely no clue, why
this root-mapping doesn't work.
Bye.

Access to shares is denied after upgrading from 3.6.3 (openSUSE 12.1) to 4.1.17 (openSUSE 13.2)
...So for now, I'd like to make as few changes as possible to get that user
mapping working again.
It seems I haven't mentioned yet, if I disable that mapping in smbusers,
I can access the shares as long as they grant access to an unmapped
domain user (for example share FactWork, as I (fee\reinhard.ni) am a
member of group fee\g_tb3).
Bye.

OpenSSH 4.3P1: incorrect wtmpx entries
...(00:00)
zierke pts/2 rzdspc10.informa Sat Feb 4 10:53 still logged in
i.e. no remote host shown and with the epoch displayed as login time.
Previously, I ran OpenSSH 4.1p1 but I just compiled and tried 4.2p1
to verify that that version still writes correct wtmpx entries.

Permissions issue 3.0.2a
Hi,
I have two users (one is me), connecting to the same directory tree on a
Solaris box, for simplicity using smbclient for Samba 3.0.2a. In this
tree, group permissions are set to rwx for a group that we are both in.
I own some dirs, my colleague owns others.
If I log in, I can put a file in any directory in the tree. If my
colleague logs in, he can only write to directories that he owns.

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.
