Schema extension
Hello, we have a single DC after a clssicupgrade and we need to extend the schema. So we created a attrib.ldif with all our attributes and a object.ldif to add the attributes to the "CN=User" Object. We tested the two ldif-files on a DC with only a few users and groups and it works fine. Then we did the classicupgrade (same NC as the test-system) we have more then 30.000 users

Double work at Model.rebuild_index
I''m noting that every time I run Model.rebuild_index its running twice the rebuild_index. Also, on ferret_index.log there is only one small difference from the first and second time, see: First time it shows: rebuild index: [] reindexing model User After it finishes, it automatically starts the second time and shows; rebuild index: [["User"]] reindexing model User The full

Dovecot frequently full-text reindexes the whole maildir
Hi! I'm using Dovecot 2.2.13 (Debian Jessie package 1:2.2.13-12~deb8u1) on my personal mail server (the address I'm writing from is on this server). I use Maildirs, I have fts + fts_squat enabled, and I have a problem with it for a long time - dovecot seems to not update the index always "incrementally". Yesterday I've finally made a test by telneting to imap port and

Problem with samba-tool --reindex
Hi, I have 2 DC's. One is running 4.10.18 and the other is running 4.11.14. I am planning on upgrading the 4.10.18 DC to 4.11.14 and then both up to 4.12r.latest. In doing this I ran samba-tool dbcheck --reindex and got the following warning: (vdc1 pts8) # samba-tool dbcheck --reindex Re-indexing... ../../lib/ldb/ldb_key_value/ldb_kv_index.c:2413: duplicate attribute value in

Dovecot frequently full-text reindexes the whole maildir
Hi, I'm not an expert, but am doing something similar (moving messages and training the spam filter). To detect the existence of new messages looking directly at the maildir can be a quick and dirty solution to get a trigger event. But to move or delete I think you should use 'doveadm' to search for all messages in your spam directory and get a list of all uids an guids. Then you

Advise on slowness in bootstrapping?
I am looking at trying to use ferret/aaf to supplement my querying against a medium and large table with lots of columns. Some facts first: Ferret 0.11.4 AAF 0.4.0 Ruby 1.8.6 Rails 1.2.3 Medium table: 105,464 rows 168 columns (mostly varchar(20)) 11 actual columns indexed in aaf plus 40 virtual columns indexed in aaf (virtual is concat of two physical columns. e.g. cast_first_name_1 +

acts_as_ferret: reindexing it too slow
Hi, Recently, I was trying to play around with AAF and found that reindexing table is very slow. Then I started looking into Ferret performance and tried myself and found that it''s very fast. Then, I just used Ferret to index my table and it was also very fast. All good. Then why reindexing using AAF is slow. After sometime I found that in the AAF, it uses (:key => :id) in

Ferret::StateError while using acts_as_ferret
I''m fairly new to ferret / aaf and finding it much easier to use than HyperEstraier (which I migrated from). However, I am getting a few errors and I need to figure out if they''re problems with my usage of ferret or a bug I should report. I''m currently running Ferret 0.10.11 with acts_as_ferret (latest via svn external) and 3 times today I''ve seen the

reindexing
Hello I just jumped into xapian, so my question could be quite basic, but I haven't found anything really useful in the list. I'm using xapian to make a fulltext search on our local servers, including some pdf's and doc files, but also our own filetypes. Anyway, I managed to write an indexer in php and it works fine. My problem is however, that I have to reindex everything when just

samba 3 schema update and reindex ldap databases
We are considering to update our Samba 3.0.5 PDC to 3.0.21 using samba-3.0.21b-1.i386.rpm, and rpm -Uvh --test works. Whe have openldap 2.3.11 as passwd backend with samba.schema taken from samba-3.0.14 but reading the docs (Samba-3 to Samba-3 Updates on the Same Server) it states: "it is necessary only to update the LDAP schema". How the LDAP schema updated and the ldap databases

zlib maildir reindex broken
I posted to the list about this a while ago but never got a response, I have a bit more information now. Dovecot 2.2.12 and other 2.2 versions are broken when using zlib and maildir. If messages are re-indexed, the INTERNALDATE of all messages is set to the time the re-index is done. The problem seems to be in src/plugins/zlib/zlib-plugin.c in the function zlib_mail_cache_open. During a

disabling automatic indexing in acts_as_ferret
I''d like to be able to enable/disable the automatic indexing of documents acts_as_ferret does. Something like MyModel.disable_indexing MyModel.enable_indexing would be perfect. I need this because I do some indexing that requires visiting the parents of the model objects and my import method imports the children first, so the information isn''t there yet. I''d like to

Samba4 AD returning incomplete results, can't edit much, and unable to reindex sam.ldb
Not sure if this is best sent to samba or samba-technical. If an admin thinks this is best sent to technical, let me know and I'll resend it there. Hi all, Well I've managed to land myself in a bit of a heap. I've been successfully running Samba4 at two schools I administer as well as my home test network, starting with alpha17 and now on beta8. Group Policy works a charm. But

"tried to use a closed index"
Sorry in advance for the newbie question. Can''t get aaf going and can''t find similarly stuck folks on this forum. I''m running Rails on my local machine in development mode. I installed ferret 0.11.0 gem, and the most recent stable aaf plugin (as of today). I''m having trouble getting the most basic functionality working. In my model Recipe, I have:

rescann / reindex / rebuild a subfolder structure
Hi, an user is missing all mail from a folder and all subfolders which are still saved in the users maildir directory on the dovecot server. From an imap client she sees the main folder but empty. No subfolders. She told me with an other imap client and a new created account she has the same problem. Question: Can I resync / regenerate some folder... index.... something....-files from the

fts-solr: fresh start or reindex large mailboxes
Hi, Install solr (in the end 7.1.0) there were errors: Caused by: org.eclipse.jetty.io.EofException: Early EOF and from dovecot: Error: Mailbox INBOX: Transaction commit failed: FTS transaction commit failed: backend I could not find for a long time what the problem was and set the nginx as a proxy, and see that dovecot breaks the connect after 60 seconds. After examining the code, I found the
