Question concerning iptables and the example at tinc's homepage
Hi all, hi Guus, in july 2004 i received an e-mail from you concerning the way a packet takes across a (tinc)vpn: > They are forwarded from eth0 to tap0, but the kernel doesn't know that > tinc is forwarding them from tap0 to ippp0. So, the UDP and TCP > packets that tinc sends will be seen by the OUTPUT chain instead of > the FORWARD chain. At the other end, the received UDP

Sip & Intercom
Hello all, I noticed that Cisco claims that you can do station to station intercom with the 7940/7960 phones, and the Cisco Call Manager. Does anyone have an example SIP header that shows this in action? Or is it something else that triggers the intercom? I would like to add this in to *. Thanks, Mike

Timestamp format in logfile
Hi all, is it possible to have tinc logging the timestamp in human readable format instead of seconds since "the epoch"? This would make debugging a little bit easier. Alex -- Gemeinde Berg Herr Reil Telefon: 08151/508-41 Fax: 08151/508-88 E-Mail: reil@gemeinde-berg.de

10th anniversary of tinc 1.0
Hello everyone, Today is exactly 10 years ago that tinc 1.0 was released. I would have hoped to celebrate this by releasing 1.0.22 and 1.1pre8 today, but this will instead happen in one week. Tinc 1.1 is close to becoming stable, and I hope to release 1.1.0 before the end of the year. The main features of tinc 1.1 are the improved security over tinc 1.0, and a much nicer interface that makes it

email notification not working anymore
I used to have email notification working with my voicemail services but it stopped working when I installed the new version of asterisk. I have not changed my voicemail.conf file, so I'm out of ideas. Does asterisk use Sendmail to send messages, or does it have its own method for sending email?

Cisco 7960
Anyone know if it is possible to load your own XML scripts on to the phone, bypassing the Cisco CallManager? I am still waiting for my phone to arrive, but I have been playing with Cisco's phone services emulator, and that doesn't seem to like anything I pass to it. If it is possible, anyone want to share any sample scripts they have. --Mike

Call Parking
Anyone having trouble parking calls? I haven't tried it in a while, but it seems to have stopped working. If I dial 700, I get a invalid extension. I have "include => parkedcalls" in the correct context, and I can dial 701, which tells me no call is parked there. Any ideas? Parking.conf is stock.

Web vmail CGI patch
Here is a patch to the vmail.cgi. It adds the "Content-Length" header with the size of the audio file. Fixes viewing problems os Safari and IE (probably others too). Mark, can you add this, assuming you approve? --Mike -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Slight Echo problems
Does anyone have the solution for this. I have a T100P going to a channel bank for all internal extensions. Calls from one internal to another sounds prefect. When placing a outbound call (going out over X100P) there is a very slight echo, almost like the comfort noise is delated by a fraction of a second. Its just a little annoyong, but when moving papers on my desk, it is very

CGI for Master.csv
If anyone wants to use it, I created a tiny perl cgi that displays the Master.csv file for viewing on the web. I plan on adding features, like the ability to click on a name or number and add it to the blacklist database (used with app_lookupblacklist). Let me know if you would like to see any features. --Mike -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...

Forward calls from PSTN to PSTN very choppy
Hi all, I am playing with asterisk forwarding my calls to my cell phone. I have 2 X101P boards. When I call in, type the extension number that calls my cell #, all works as expected. Except, the audio is terrible. It is very choppy. I played with jitterbuffers, and that helped a little bit, but still the audio is very bad. I have echo problems on both lines, and haven't had
