Script not running correctly as cronjob
Thank you for the hints
I modified like you described.
I also moved the permission part out of the loop (once at the end of the script is enough).
Now with the "set -x" the script is working also in cron.
Best regards
Daniel

Bug Report? readline...
Hello developers,
I just compiled R 0.62.3 on my Linux-box. However, the R
prompt doesn't seem to use the gnu-readline, but generates
fancy escapes when using the cursor keys.
As I
- have GNU readline installed,
- have run configure with option --enable-readline,
- unsuccessfully have spent half a day browsing through
the sources in order to find a reason...
...I don't know what went

smooth.spline() unique 'x' values error
Hello.
I'm getting an unexpected result when running smooth.spline(). Here is a simple example that replicates the error I'm getting:
> aa <- c(1, 2, 3, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 12, 13, 14)
> bb <- 1:length(aa)

Error in smooth.spline(aa, bb) : need at least four unique 'x' values
As you can see from the example, my

R, SuSe and readline
Hello folks,
I can't make R use the GNU-Readline-library.
However,
- I have run configure with --enable-readline and
- configure *has found* the library.
My Linux distribution is SuSe, July 1998. I'm using
Kernel 2.0.25. I was told by Douglas Bates (r-devel),
that this problem between R and (probably) SuSe was
discussed before on this list.
Can someone tell me how I can make R use

R-User groups in North America (SF, LA, NYC, Ottawa)
Hi R folks,
I'd like to announce several new R users groups here in SF, LA, NYC,
and Ottawa - as well as their next scheduled event. The goal of these
user groups, besides gently explaining 'drop=TRUE' to the uninitiated,
is to exchange knowledge, promote best practices, and spur the
adoption of R for innovative applications. If I've missed any groups
here, please feel to add on

World of Warcraft problem with Wine 0.9.31
I use Ubuntu 6.10 and just yesterday an update was offered of Wine 0.9.31 which I accepted
(Maybe its my Windows roots, where every update has to be performed to keep it secure).
I then found that World of Warcraft was crashing out. Unfortunately my Nvidia drivers mean
that Metacity/Wine/Whatever does not redraw the screen, so I cannot actually read the error,
but it is a WoW crash as such,

Running AGI script on answer.
Hi there,
Is there an accepted way of running an AGI script on answering of a
channel? Is it even possible? I don't need to execute AGI commands, I
just need to know a channel has been answered.
Thanks,
David.

is oprofile working on CENTOS 6.0 ?
Hi
I am trying to use oprofile with centos 6.0.
I know that the debug-info for the kernel is not available, so I believe
I
used the correct switches to account for this.
here is my script...
# reset everything
opcontrol --shutdown
rm /root/.oprofile/da*
opcontrol --separate=kernel --no-vmlinux
opcontrol --event=CPU_CLK_UNHALTED:100000
opcontrol --start
sleep 5

wine-users Digest, Vol 35, Issue 106
Wine is a program that enables users to run Windows programs on
non-Windows operating systems, including Linux, and Mac OSX. Why would
you want to install it on XP?

No. No solution identified. I'm just closing the log and process
windows and minimizing the X11 window. Annoying, but not a show
stopper. You're using a later version of Wine than I am; I'm sorry to
see it hasn't fixed this.
