Upgrading samba past the regular packages
..., now, too, is
just acting really weird.
I'm tempted to upgrade beyond the regular packages, although I really
don't like to do that, because the samba list and a lot of info online
lead me to believe that 3.0.11+ fixes these issues.
What's the best way to use something newer than the regualr packages?
Does someone out there have a CentOS repo with a newer samba? Should I
just use the Fedora packages?
Thanks,
Matt

Blackberries
Anyone has had differing experiences with different blackberries?
Someone with Blackberry Gold/Bold get only 1 e-mail
yet regualr blackberries get multiple copies of the same e-mials.
Is this a blackberry bug or is their something I have to set in Dovecot?

[PATCH v21 2/5 RESEND] virtio-balloon: VIRTIO_BALLOON_F_SG
...ects, for example,
xbitmap_check_bit_range() may have already performed xb_zero() while we
specifically have another xbitmap_check_zero_bits() which may test
something that has already been tested when checking bit range. But I
think testing twice is better than omission.
Also, I left the "Regualr test1: node=NULL" case though the new
implementation doesn't explicitly use "node" as before, but that
node=NULL is still a radix tree implementation internally and that case
looks special to me, so maybe not bad to cover in the test.

Automation? tags?
...ere would be an easy way to write a web page with a few
shiny red buttons like ''Build HEAD now'' and ''Build DEMO now'' etc and
interface with JMX server that i found out about from googling, but i
current believe that only would work (if at all) if we were using regualr
cruisecontrol, not cruisecontrol.rb. For a variety of reasons i cant
quite elucidate, we greatly prefer to use the cc.rb solution that you fine
folks use/maintain/wax.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?

create a Time Serie object of it?

5/12/1998 2

R should recognize that some dates are not available...(NA). You can
define start and end date Ok, and frequency= 365

Solaris password requirements not enforced
Hi,
The Solaris password requirements like
a. no empty password
b. minimum 6 chars
etc for a regualr user are not enforced when a password expired user is
changing password at the SSH login prompt.
The version of openSSH I am using is 3.8.1 and Solaris 8 is where the
sshd is running.
Is anybody aware of this problem?
Is there some configuration option I can use to enforce these password

Way to handle variable length and numbers of columns using read.table(...)
I've got read.table to successfully read in my table of three columns. Most of the time I will have a set number of rows, but sometime that will be variable and sometimes there will be only be two variables in one row, e.g.
Time Loc1 Loc2
1 22.33 44.55
2 66.77 88.99
3 222.33344.55
4 66.77 88.99
Is there any way to have read.table handle (1) a variable number of rows, and (2) sometime there

Unexplainable problem with POP3 quotas
Greetings *
We are having a problem with POP3 quota warnings, and despite we dig
into the documentation, mailing list archives, google... we didn't
spot any light
We are running a self-compiled dovecot 1.1.7. The user base is in a
Postgres database. We'd like a quota warning message to be injected
into the maildir at 80% and 95% of occupation reached.

paging mechanism clarification
...omU i.e translation from virtual address to the physical address just like normal paging mechanism. The second level of translation is done by the Xen hypervisor. It translates the pseduo physical address recieved from the domU and treats it as a normal virtual address and finds the page frame using regualr paging mechanism.
And this whole 2 level paging consitutes Xen''s shadow page tables. Right?
Is my understanding of Xen''s paging mechanism correct?or am i missing something?
Thank you
