Project Management Software
I have been searching for some project management software that works on
both linux and windows.
Does anyone have any ideas, all we need it to perform basic project
management tasks. A websolution would be ideal.
Thanks in advance

LVM
How many people use LVM's in their production servers? Are they reliable
for use in these sorts of systems? I am asking this because i was
reading the LVM Howto about upgrading discs etc.

High Availability using 2 sites
We currently have a backup site at a different location to our main
site. This backup site mirrors (as closely as possible) our main
services, particularly web serving. Is there a way to have the backup
site act as a failover for the main site using something like Linux-HA?
They are on seperate internet connections with different IP ranges.
Thanks

Dell TrueMobile 1400 Wireless card
Has anyone had any luck with getting the Dell TrueMobile 1400 A/B/G
wireless card working under Linux? I have experimented with ndiswrapper,
i have had nothing but problems trying to get it to work. I was
wondering if anyone has found a native Linux driver for the card. It
uses a Broadcom 4309 chipset.

Yum
Does anyone know how to get yum to ignore updates of a particular
package? We use nagios 1.2 and yum wants to update it to nagios 2, how
ever that breaks nagios when it does that. I want it to skip the updates
of nagios and related packages till we work out the problems.

2.5.STABLE6-3.4E.11 Problem
Has anyone had a problem with this version of Squid, we are using
Centos4, and this is the latest package of squid. The problem occurs
when a host attempts to make a SSL connection that involves a reverse
DNS lookup, it will cause squid to crash. I ran squid with the "-d 10"
option to find out what happens, and this is the error i get.
How you reproduce this error is, find a SSL

Kernel 2.6.9-22.0.2.ELsmp
Has anyone had any issues with this latest kernel?
We rebooted our servers into this new kernel yesturday and our internet
conectivity broke. I fiddled arround with some of the setting to get our
machines talking to the net again with no success. It seems that we are
able to talk to local hosts on our network, but anything external is
broken. I gave up in the end and resorted to the previous

Squid updates break tunneling
This is a question I posted to the RHEL3 mailing list but didn't get a
response:
"We are currently running squid-2.5.STABLE3-6.3E.9 on one of our RHEL3
proxy servers because updating to the latest (squid-2.5.STABLE3-6.3E.14)
seems to break any kind of tunelling, ie. things like instant messaging
ports and ssh using proxytunnel (http://proxytunnel.sourceforge.net/).

OpenLDAP Problem
Everyone,
We currently are running a Centos3 directory server, I am currently
testing centos4 as an upgrade of this machine in the future. There is a
special user we have called cn=samba,ou=special in our directory, this
user is for samba to use when binding to the directory. On the
production replica server, i have taken an offline slapcat ldif of the
entire tree. I then copied this file to

Huge OO.org packages installed by default
I was just wondering if anyone here knows why the OO.org packages on
RHEL/Centos are so huge.
Eg. On Mandriva 2006:
40834529 OpenOffice.org
113064600 OpenOffice.org-libs
20124669 OpenOffice.org-help-en
19976941 OpenOffice.org-l10n-en
= ~185MB
On Centos 4:
683298379 openoffice.org-i18n
124072694 openoffice.org
111894560 openoffice.org-libs
= ~876MB!!
When I say 'installed by default' I

Where have all the Gaim icons gone?
Has anyone noticed that in the latest gaim update
(gaim-1.3.1-0.el4.3.i386.rpm) almost all the MSN smiley icons are not
included in the package? I've reverted to gaim-1.3.1-0.el4.i386.rpm and
they're all there. Is this a bug? and if not why would redhat remove the
smiley icons from Gaim?
