How many people use LVM's in their production servers? Are they reliable for use in these sorts of systems? I am asking this because i was reading the LVM Howto about upgrading discs etc. Regards, Peter

We currently have a backup site at a different location to our main site. This backup site mirrors (as closely as possible) our main services, particularly web serving. Is there a way to have the backup site act as a failover for the main site using something like Linux-HA? They are on seperate internet connections with different IP ranges. Thanks -- Tim Edwards

Has anyone had any luck with getting the Dell TrueMobile 1400 A/B/G wireless card working under Linux? I have experimented with ndiswrapper, i have had nothing but problems trying to get it to work. Does anyone know how to get yum to ignore updates of a particular package? We use nagios 1.2 and yum wants to update it to nagios 2, how ever that breaks nagios when it does that. I want it to skip the updates of nagios and related packages till we work out the problems. Peter

Has anyone noticed that in the latest gaim update (gaim-1.3.1-0.el4.3.i386.rpm) almost all the MSN smiley icons are not included in the package?
