smbclient can't find this new XP
I upgraded to 2.2.2 on Solaris 7, and changed the regestry requiressignorseal to 0. Although this new XP is able to do the samba mounts I need, I'd like to be able to back it to UNIX tapes with smbclient, but all I get is : /usr/local/samba/bin/smbclient -L //paulxp added interface ip=161.217.10.13 bcast=161.217.10.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 session r...

Heroes of Might and Magic 5 crash
...s, for example Warcraft 3:TFT all is O.K. I have tried completely remove wine and $HOME/.wine and install some various versions - it works only at wine-0.9.50 (I didn't download 0.9.51-0.9.58). Also I tried specify VideoRam at my xorg.conf by hand and add 'VideoMemorySize' string to my regestry at wine. Any changes. Any suggestion how to beat this sad error?

Registry
Hi, I have an idea and I dont know if its bad or not, so please tell me ;o) There're some windows based applications I need to run but they do need some registry entries. If I choose to export my whole windows registry and import it to wine's registry, should it make wine crash/die/unworkable? MBJr.

Re: Problem trying running Guild Warss (First Post)
Hi, I have the same problem. The strange thing is, GW was working for me already (on an older install, but now I have x68_64) I receive the same error messages and already added the regestry entries. Any ideas?

I haven't use win98 with roaming profiles with Nt/2000 never and so I don't know if is necessary to set the appropriate keys in the Regestry database with "regedit". I have tried to set the "logon home" directive to "\\%L\%U\.profiles" and so: logon home = \\%L\%U\.profiles but it doesn't change anything. Any Idea ? Are new keys necessary? bootstrap pValue in DClusters
Hello R-List I use DClusters package (I work in a cancer regestry). I have 2 questions about it: 1-how is it possible to get back the bootstrap pValue? I mean the pValue of the calculated statistic with respect of the distribution of this statistic under the null hypothesis. 2-how is it possible to test an overdispersion in the poisson model? for choosing a bes...

/etc/passwd - Domain Controller Synchronization
Hello, I don't know much about Samba so forgive me if this is a stupid question. I'm currently working on a project for a client that relies on Unix machines for their main applications. Access to Unix applications is done through terminal emulation (vt 100) on Windows PCs. We are implementing a Windows NT network for file an print sharing and to support SMS. One of the goals of the

Samba Very Slow When Using AFS and MS Office (is this a Bug?)
...read only = no public = yes What I am trying to do is to have Samba bind only to the internal network device so that no one can look @ my samba share from the outside network. vmnet1 is a VMWare vertual network. My client is a virtual Windows 2k (sp2) with the modification to the regestry that allows passwords to be sent in the clear as described by the Samba documentation. Now everything is good and fast when I try to access the 60GB share that is a local disk. The problem is that when I try to access my home directory things are slow and sometimes files don't showup. In parti...
