How to fire up Icecast?
...? May I suggest studying the excellent documentation? This is a really good place to gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals of Icecast. It's incredibly powerful, thus has a bit of a learning curve. https://icecast.org/docs/icecast-trunk/ Cheers, Jordan Erickson On 3/27/23 20:00, redwood.andrew at gmail.com <mailto:redwood.andrew at gmail.com> wrote: Thank you, Johan. Sample wxruby code is available
I have just released an Alpha version of my redwood email client, written with wxruby. It uses toolbars, menus, and lots of widget layouts, plus it launches two kinds of background tasks. I learned a lot about wxruby and wxwindows as I worked on it, so I hope you will benefit from seeing the source code. It is at: http://rubyforge.org/projects/red...

Side by side strip charts
Hi, I'm looking for some ideas on how to reproduce the attached image in R. There are three samples, each of size n = 10. The first is drawn from a normal distribution with mean 60 and standard deviation 3. The second is drawn from a normal distribution with mean 65 and standard deviation 3. The third is drawn from a normal distribution with mean 70 and standard deviation 3.

spatstat sub-selection
Fellow Users, In Spatstat, if you have a ppp object with, say 100 points, how do you create another ppp containing a random selection, N, of the original? You can tell the function 'rthin' to make a sub-selection of points, i.e. "every point is removed with probability 0.5" but you CAN'T set N exactly... I'm sure this should be easy... Ta! Frequency plot --- stacked symbols
Hi, We were wondering how we could make a stacked frequency diagram such as this one: http://msemac.redwoods.edu/~darnold/math15/liz.pdf We don't necessarily need the shaded "balls", other characters would be fine, such as stacks of x's. David

t-statistic for independent samples
...lch's approximation of the degrees of freedom in order to make the distribution a t-distribution. However, most texts give no information why you have to do this. So I thought I try a little experiment which is outlined here. Distrubtion of differences of independent samples <http://msemac.redwoods.edu/~darnold/math15/R/chapter11/DistributionForTwoIndependentSamplesPartII.html> As you can see in the above link, I see no evidence why you need a pooled or Welch's in these images. Anyone care to comment? Or should I put this on Stack Exchange? D. -- View this message in context:...
