RedFone foneBRIDGE2 2e1 - anyone used it or another TDMoE bridge?
I've been asked to look at deploying Asterisk in a high availability
environment and I've been looking so I've been searching for methods to
decouple the voice PRI circuits from the Asterisk server so failover to
another server could take place.
I've been looking at the RedFone foneBRIDGE2 2e1 product here:
http://www.mapleleaf-technologies.com/webstore/redfone_fonebridge2_2e1.php
Has anyone used this device (or something similar)? What were your thoughts
on it? On the surface this seems like a perfect method of building high
availability Asterisk environments, but I...

Moving from Redfone's Fonebridge to Allo 2nd Gen PRI card
We have been running around than 40 asterisk servers running on Debian
Squeeze for last three years, handling traffic of more than few
hundred thousand calls per day.
Our setup's PRI-banks were using Redfone's Fonebridge. We had PRIs
from multiple telephony providers. And Redfone's Fonebridge handled
all that easily.
But all good things come to end. Redfone's Fonebridge was not
available anymore. And we had to seek replacement.
We got to know abot Allo's 2nd Generation PRI card with...

Also to add to the last post does this device have hardware echo cancelation?
if it does it could be a great replacement, if not may not be what I'd
really want to use.
Thanks,

UK BT ISDN30e PRI Problem
Ok Guys, I've done a tonne of hunting around on this problem, but
can't find much help.
I'm running:
asterisk 1.4.19.1
libpri 1.4.3
and zaptel 1.4.9.2 which I believe has been modified by RedFone to add
the ztd-ethmf module.
My interface is a RedFone foneBridge2 4 Span; and I'm connecting to a
BT E1 PRI / ISDN30e with 15 lines on span 1, and a legacy Panasonic
PBX on span 4. Upon connection of the E1 I get the following in pri
debug span 1:
Sending Unnumbered Acknowledgement

Hardware question about Redfone's foneBridge
I am looking for input on wether the 4 port T-1 foneBridge is a useful
device in a asterisk deployment. Would it be better to loadup a extra
asterisk server to trunk the T-1's via IAX or is TDMoE safe in production
enviroments. We are only looking at 2 T-1's, one for pstn and the other to a
channel bank. Any advice?

Help 60Hz Hum?
...g a pretty bad hum
on the line during a call.
I have checked the Telco side of the 66 block and there is no hum there
so it's my problem to fix.
I have tried to lower the gain but that reduces the call volume to much.
Where else should I be looking?
Setup as follows
Dell PE1950 server
Redfone Quad port fonebridge2
Asterisk 1.2.18
Zaptel 1.2.18 From redfone
Adtran 750 Channel Bank with 8 FXO and 16 FXS
Two PRI connections to fonebridge

standalone PRI-to-SIP converter
I'm looking for recommendations for standalond PRI to SIP converters. (Needs to be outside the asterisk box - so a PCIe card won't do)
I've used redfone but this project doesn't need the redundancy features...
Thanks!

Asterisk mem leak behavior?
So here is my setup.
Hardware:
Intel P3 1.2 Ghz
1 GB RAM
36 GB Drives Mirrored
Software:
CentOS 5
2.6.18 Kernel
Asterisk 1.4.14
Zaptel 1.4.7 (redfone)
LIbpri 1.4.2
I'm using TDMoE with my PRI using a product called fonebridge from a company
called redfone. They require that I use their own build of zaptel and I am
trying to figure out if the problem is with them or something else. The
TDMoE traffic is running over a dedicated interface on...

Asterisk load balancing and failover
Hi List,
I'm finding a solution to provide failover and load balancing features to my IVR system.
Anyone suggest me what is the best solution please?. what the hardware I should use ?.
I heard about RedFone, but someone on the mail list said that it is not good because TDMoE module in asterisk is not so stable and TDMoE is stale. And It seems that RedFone doesn't not support load balancing ability (I can't find any document about this feature).
Best Regards,
Giang Huu.

ISDN BRI (I.430) over ethernet
Does anyone know of a hardware adapter that can take ISDN BRI frames
(I.430) and encapsulate them in Ethernet (any form, but TDMoE would be
really cool), in much the same way that the redfone does for PRI?
(yes I have asked this before in looser terms, but it was a while ago :)
Would anyone find such a device useful?
Thanks

Fonebridge2
Hello List
Does anybody have any experience with the FoneBridge line of products from RedFone?
I think their HA implementation sounds interesting, and like the prospect of having dedicated hardware for our PRI connections.
Kind Regards

E1 to Ethernet Bridge
Hello,
I am trying to Bridge 2 E1 interfaces over a long distance link exactly the same way Redfone does. How can asterisk be configured to do that?
Best regards

T1, FoneBRIDGE, and dropped D-Channel
I hope someone can help me out with this issue. It has been dogging me
for months and I can't seem to get it to go away.
I have a Rhino Ceros box running Asterisk 1.4.21.2 connected via eth0
(nVidia MCP61 Ethernet) to a RedFone FoneBRIDGE2 dual-port with EC. The
FB is the latest hardware rev and the latest firmware. I'm running the
latest fonulator version and I'm running Zap-1.4.11 sourced from
RedFone.
Nothing else is on eth0. It is currently connected thru a dedicated
switch to the FB and the secondary server...

Pri Gateway Hardware
Does anyone have any experience using a PRI gateway, I am looking for a way
to have multiple asterisk boxes use one PRI, and send that over the network.
I herd there are copper gateway devices (like a X100P card, only it
registers with asterisk using sip, and it doesn't have to be physically
connected to the box) Does anyone have any experience with a PRI gateway?
And could tell me the cost

Asterisk on a Beagleboard?
Hello
Out of curiosity, has someone managed to run Asterisk on a Beagleboard
for home-use?
www.beagleboard.org
As an alternative to a PC, it can be powered from a USB hub, so that
would make for a compact, fanless Asterisk server.
Thank you.
