Typo in Wiki
Dear All
Found a missing c in recyle should be recycle on the Wiki-page:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_an_Active_Directory_Domain_Controller
"You should be aware that if wish to use a vfs object on a DC share e.g.
recycle, you must not just set |vfs objects = recycle| in the share.
Doing this will turn off the default vfs objects |dfs_samba4| and

color code from csv
hi folks,
this is driving me up the wall. Apologies for posting twice in the same
week, I'm writing up a thesis. I wish to color-code some dots in an xy
plot. I've got a csv file with various elements, one of which is the
color-key (with the header 'color'). If the color-key is decimal (eg.
1,2,3) then I can use
plot (X ~ Y, col=data$color)
The problem, however, is that using

Question regarding Recycle
Hi
Samba 4.12 on Ubuntu 20.04
Windows 10 and 7 clients
I have configured recycle on two shares, /Users and /Documents.
vfs objects = recycle
recycle:versions = yes
recycle:keeptree = yes
On the Users share I have
recycle:repository = /share/data
On the Documents share I have
recycle:repository = .Papperskorg (recycle bin in Swedish)
The Document share recycle works. Folder was created and the

Hi Anders,
Mason, can you share your security settings on .../Top/Home? I might have

Anders, I have an unusual setup using nested shares, where \\fs1\Top is the
parent share, which corresponds to the POSIX path /srv/samba/Top/ and
multiple nested shares setup similarly to \\fs1\Home at
/srv/samba/Top/Home/. I chose to use nested shares

Error report on empty matrices (PR#435)
...compiled with gcc under SuSE 6.2) on a PIII 500Mhz Machine under SuSE
6.2 Linux I found the following bug:
x <- matrix(0,10,0)
rbind(x,2)
causes an R-crash with the message "Gleitkomma-Ausnahme" (floating point
exception) which is probably due to the non-applicability of the
recyling rule.
The same occors when using
x<-matrix(0,10,0)
rbind(x,matrix(2,1,1))
The complete log is appended to this note.
In my opinion an error message like
Error in rbind(...) : number of columns of matrices must match (see
arg 2)
as it happens with
x<-matrix(0,10,1)
rbind...

SAMBA AD VFS:Recycle bad permissions
Hello dancers,
I upgraded SAMBA to version 4.9 in three little companies. Then we have
found an error with permissions, on shared discs where is VFS:recycle
enabled, new created folders seem to be ok, but new files are writable
only from owner. Getfacl gets back mask r-- so effective rights are
changed. Shared discs without VFS:recycle work fine, and if I disable
VFS:recycle on shared

SAMBA AD VFS:Recycle bad permissions
Good morning,
I have tried upgrade SAMBA to version 4.10.4 and my error still exists.
New created file has mask limited perrmisions if VFS:recycle module is
activated for share. If module is off, rights for new files works
corectly. I have it on 3 servers with Samba 4.10 and 4.9, one server
withj 4.8 works properly.
any ideas?

Recycle bin Functionality
Giulio-
I apologize for contacting you directly on this, but there doesn't seem
to be much interest from anyone for answering
any questions on the recycle bin module. I'm hoping you can help.
I need to configure the recyle bin to function as it did (before V.
2.2.4/5) with the patches from Brandon Stone. Brandon's version
allowed me to configure samba to move deleted files to a

I don't know about Tanu, but we can certainly use this in finding bugs
in LLVM! This has been listed as an "open project" for a long time [1],
but someone already implemented it, saving us the time and effort.
Thanks for the link!

Add support for in-process profile merging in profile-runtime

Suppose 2) above finally succeeds, the user will have to merge thousands of
raw profiles to indexed profile.
With the proposed profile on-line merging, you just need to use the
instrumented clang, and one merged...

row equality.
I think that this is an easy one...
I have a matrix where each row is an (x,y,z) triplet. Given a potential
(xnew, ynew, znew) triplet I want to know if the matrix already contains a
row with the new values (the space already has that point). I can do it
using a for loop, but I would like to know if there is anyway in which I
can do it without the for loop.
I do it now like this (this
