problems with large transfers form solaris 2.6
Hi all.
I have a large data set on solaris 2.6 (approx 16gb and about 900K files and rectory structures). Rsync is misbehaving in the most obnoxious way:

When the timeout parameter is not there, the rsync will just stop and hang around for hours untill killed.

Recommended DNS configuration on Domain Controllers causes share by IP name to fail
Hi,
Following DNS configuration of multiple DCs recommended on the wiki
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Joining_a_Samba_DC_to_an_Existing_Active_Di
rectory#DNS_Configuration_on_Domain_Controllers , clients are unable to open
windows shares based on the server IP, for example \\133.1.1.24 . However
they work fine opening either the netbios name or the DNS name, for example

Concurrent POP3 Sessions Issues
Hi,
I have problems with dovecot + ldap + nfs, we could't have more than
20 concurrent sessions of pop3, when user 21 comes, the auth process takes
more than 1 sec and is incresing (while most users arrives, more delay in
autenticacion exists) and my customers complaint about the service. We need
support about 200 concurrents pop3 users, here is my details

4.8 buildworld compilation problem: kdump
Hi,
I have a 4.7-RELEASE system.
I used the following cvsupfile to update my system:
*default host=cvsup2.FreeBSD.org
*default base=/usr
*default prefix=/usr
*default release=cvs
*default tag=RELENG_4_8
*default delete use-rel-suffix
src-all
*default tag=.
I then proceeded to do:
cd /usr/src
make buildworld
I got a bunch of errors which occurred when building kdump:
