Apparent SAS HBA failure-- now what?
My setup: A SuperMicro 24-drive chassis with Intel dual-processor
motherboard, three LSI SAS3081E controllers, and 24 SATA 2TB hard drives,
divided into three pools with each pool a single eight-disk RAID-Z2. (Boot
is an SSD connected to motherboard SATA.)
This morning I got a cheerful email from my monitoring script: "Zchecker has

could be also used by checking the client queue length by seconds).

be done _only_ when result < 0.
4. Created a new function (send_client_queue) to send the client->queue.
Better modularisation.
5. When a new client is added, we send the metadata right after adding it to
the queue (I use the previous function). This improve a lot startu...

Undo/reverse zpool create
Hi,
If I add an entire disk to a new pool by doing "zpool create", is this reversible?
I.e. if there was data on that disk (e.g. it was the sole disk in a zpool in another system) can I get this back or is zpool create destructive?

caller's code rather than aborting the process? I'd like my compiler

Newbie - Rails 3 authentication question (Devise)
Hello!
I''m working on my first Rails app and I have a question regarding
authentication. I already have authentication for signing up, logging
in, logging out, etc. What I need is an account email activation
function and a reset password (forgot password) function. I have read
a little bit about Devise and watched the Railscast episodes on it, it
seems nice, but is it possible to add
