elegant way of re-encoding?
Hi, Now that I've been able to look at streamtranscoder 3.0, I see there's absolutely no documentation whatsoever. I've not compiled it, but I note that previously when you ran it first time, it would create a sample config file for you to edit. Maybe it still does this. Oddsock's flash demo may shed more light on this, but I can't use it so don't know. Geoff. --

If you have listeners to both /stream1.ogg and /stream2.ogg and both streams stop, all listeners will fall back to/fallback.ogg. Then, if say /stream1.ogg reconects, all listeners will be moved to /stream1.ogg, regardless of whether they originally tuned in to /stream1.ogg or /stream2.ogg. More confusing, if a person who originally tuned into /stream2.ogg, who is now on /stream1.ogg, stops their player and starts it again, they'll drop back through to...

Hi all; I don't know if this is a specificly a Samba problem, so appologies if this is a little OT. Anyhow, I have a Windows 2000 Server (SP2) running IIS5 hosting a number of web sites. The content itself is housed on a RH 7.1 Linux box running Samba 2.2.2, which Windows mounts. Now, occasionly when going anywhere beneath the root of a web site IIS reports a 404 error (NTFileMon
