Hi, Am trying to add some Debug statement to smbd, for example in service.c. But problem is when I recomplile and make install, smbd doesnt get updated with that code. problem here is this smbd executable(usr/sbin/smbd) doesnt get updated with the latest install. please help.. ...But then I did a 'yum update' to the system and got a new kernel from centosplus (?). Now the nvidia module won't load. It's not happy with the new kernel. I am at a loss as to how to make it happy? what is the best way to install the closed-source drivers? direct from nvidia? recomplile them? Is there some gap between updates kernel and the atrpms modules? and in advance I am SORRY if this has been beat to death. I know ~75% of the traffic on the Fedora list was about nvidia woes and flames. Lame, but the DRI does work well on these and my daughter likes to play games. best...

I'm solve my problem, but not have a idea how or why this solve. I recompliled the dovecot without support to Postgres ans SQLite3 and LDAP. I was configure Mysql support only and all work fine. HI. I tried out DVDFAB 8 using wine and it worked great. So good i bought it for $86 and change. Problem is. When i go to register it it will not work. Since then i have searched their forum and find out it will not work with WINE when you register. Some kind of copy protection. No help on their forum. Best i have seen is to use Virturalbox. BUT i do not happen to have a unregistered Windows OS
