reclassify option on policing
Hello,
What exactly is the use of the "reclassify" option in the policing
options of tc filters?
According to LARTC:
"
reclassify
Most often comes down to reclassification to Best Effort. This is the
default action.
"
I don''t quite get the meaning of that.
It could mean to let other filters handle it, but that is exac...

"action pass random determ/netrand reclassify --value--": granularity problems
Hi all!
I''m trying to do proportional marking of real-time traffic to indicate link congestion, and for that, I wish to use the DSMARK filter to mark from, say EF to 0xcc. (an unused DSCP value)
By proportional, I mean, if congestion on the egress link is, say 38%, then I shall remark 38 packets of every 100 leaving eth0.
I already wrote some scripts, and I can measure the overload

Reclassifying values within a vector to several other values
Dear List
Apologies for such a simple question:
I have a vector of 738 elements, coded with values between 1 and 16 (but
not containing 7, 10, 11 or 13) and wish to recode value 14 to 1, 4 to 2, 1
to 3, 2 to 4 and all other values to 5. I've been trying to use the
replace function (in base) and %in%, but without success.
Many thanks

Reclassifing with the filters
Hi all,
Is the reclassify function useful for really reclassifing ?
I couldnt find any samples or documents about this function.
I want to pick a packet that''s over a specific rate, and
reclassify that to arbitrary class that I specify.
I''ve tested with the ingress filter, but it didnt work.

Dovecot antispam
Hello,
This is not specifically a dovecot issue, but to it's antispam plugin,
that being the case if private responses are deemed so please do so.
I've got a Postfix, amavisd-new, dovecot (delivery and sieve), setup
with spamassassin. It's for the most part working fine, here's the
problem, false positives and false negatives. The sieve moves
spamassassin-tagged messages in to

Does anyone here has experience using MICE to impute missing value? I am

iproute2 + iptables - match the connection time or packets sent/recieved
Hello,
I setup iproute2 and iptables on my box, is a P4 2000 Ghz / 1GB memory.
I have setup squid and iptables to be a transparent proxy, with cache.
I''ve read on lartc.org almost everything and i want to ask if there is a u32
match for the connection time or something like that, or an u32 match for
the packet number in a connection.
All i want to do is shape the web traffic for long

perturb package for evaluating collinearity
...displays the impact of these
perturbations on the stability of the coefficients. Perturb is not
limited to linear regression and can handle interaction effects and
transformations of independent variables.
Version 1 of perturb was available from my website. This new version
makes it much easier to reclassify categorical variables. In
addition, colldiag now has a "fuzz" option to suppress printing of
small variance decomposition values.
Comments and criticisms invited,
John Hendrickx

Linear discriminant function analysis based median as group centroid and nonparametric scale estimators???
Dear All,
I am using a specific approach for my master thesis. In essence, a
supervised reclassification is used as an intermediate step to find chemical
parameters which are able to reclassify defined groups. These variables will
be used in a next step where location and scale estimators of the groups are
important. Traditionally linear discriminant analysis is used for
reclassification which uses group-means as centroid.
Caused by the characteristics of my data, I decided to use nonpar...

you *must not* discard mails - in no context - period
that's why milters exist to tag between let say 5.0 and 8.0 spam points
and REJECT pre-queue based on SpamAssassin and/or ClamAV

Dovecot and Bogofilter
Hi,
on my small Xen-virtualised server with 48 MiB RAM I use Postfix and
Dovecot, because the Debian administrators dislike qmail [1], which is in
my opinion despite some maintainability and code quality issues a quite
well designed software, because it mostly follows the UNIX principles.
Postfix is not able to sort my E-Mail into different Maildir folders and
after I looked at procmail's
