Host machine shuts down instead of rebooting

Snom or Cisco Phones?
Hello
I need to buy IP Phones to work with Asterisk, and I'm in doubt between
Snom and Cisco Phones.
Can you gurus, please, give me your impression of these 2 brands? I need
to focus more in SIP and Asterisk compatibility and less in pricing
(yes, I know the Cisco are more expensive).
Are there any features that Snom has, that Cisco doesnt? And are these
features important?
Thanks

Need to pick your brain for recommendation on using 2.5" or 3.5" HDDs for Asterisk server...
Hi Everyone,
I am stack between two identical systems (2U Twin2, 4 nodes, SuperMicro)
servers that have the same exact specs except for HDDs. These nodes will all
either have Asterisk installed with CentOS or will have Asterisk install in
virtual environment.
Option 1: *12* x 3.5" HDD (3 HDDs per node)
Option 2: *24* x 2.5" HDD (6 HDDs per node)
**both options come to the same price.

But I've never really understood the significance of maildir/new/. The only use I can see is
that (for example in the case of dovecot), you'd move a message from new to cur and then
update the index-file, that's it.
So to make put it more direct, you'd know when and with what to update the index-file, based
on
