Hello... I'm involved in a project whereby a live audio input from the FM radio station is to be sent to an audio streaming server, which will stream the audio to the remote sites thru the VSAT (satellite based) network. The remote sites are to rebroadcast the transmissions (FM station rebroadcast), as most of the expected listeners do not have access to the internet. Is icecast2 capable of such a project (with taking into account that icecast2 doesn't support multicasting)? or has somebody else has done similar project before? I need some advi...

I'm rebroadcasting a realplayer stream and there are two problems. The icecast2 sounds tinny and its delayed something like 3secs. Any advice to perhaps use speex as it's talk radio? This is *nothing* major, just a minor tweak that makes FreeStream's rebroadcast system work smoother.
