Cannot exec program from network drive after 10 minutes (II)
Hi list,
)2nd try bcs. of missing attachements).
Following (very strange) problem:
An ordinary windows user has mapped a drive F: on \\LUN1\Programme
(running samba-3.0.20b-3 debian). The program "F:\Network\PMail
V3\Pegasus Mail\winpm-32.exe" is being started, this works.
But after about 10 minutes, the same program start fails with "invalid
path or filename".

[LLVMdev] Status of use-diet so far (NO API CHANGES)
Hi all,
in the last days I was busy gathering performance data
about the "class Use"-related changes.
I have nice measurements on a 8Gig MacPro with kimwitu++.
This is important to say, because this machine is
in plenty of memory, so swapping is not likely, which
means that in more constrained setups (when swapping
occurs) the use-diet approach is probably producing

LDAP-Domain confusion
Hi there,
this one starts driving me nuts:
1. Configuration:
- iPlanet LDAP Server
- Solaris 9 Server 1 - Samba 2.8.8, Domain: FRSTPRV
- Solaris 9 Server 2 - Samba 3.0.x, Domain: FRSTPRV.DE
(Problem occurs, using whatever domain name)
- x means Version 1 and Version 2a have been tested...
- Both samba servers are physically different machines!
2. Solaris Server 1 using

INTERNAL ERROR Report
I have read the BUGS.txt file, used 'testparm' (successfully), and run
through all the steps in DIAGNOSIS.txt. I don't see any problems that
those tools have identified. The BUGS.txt file indicated that INTERNAL
ERROR was almost certainly the result of a bug. I'm hopeful I have sent
you the information you need. Let me know if there is something more I
need to send.

Fw: INTERNAL ERROR Report
I realized that my choice of options for grep did not do a very good job
of including the last error message before the INTERNAL ERROR. I've
included it in this email. Sorry.

Windows VBSscript and test.sh execution in /tmp/public in AIX 5.3
Hello,
I am having a very speific problem with my samba
interface. We just migrated to a new IBM pSeries
server with AIX 5.3. The older server was a RS6000,
with AIX 5.2 and everything I'm about to describe
below worked without fail.
We have a Windows 2000 Server that runs IIS. There is
a web-based program (programmed in VB Script) that
calls test.sh AIX script (through samba) on our AIX

domain won't go online
Hi. I'm hoping for some advise/help.
I have a domain that won't seem to go online:
$ wbinfo --online-status
BUILTIN : active connection
MY-HOST : active connection
FOO : no active connection
The log for the domain repeats over and over again:

Unable to browse system shares of a newly migrated AD DC
Greetings, Rowland Penny!
Got some logs. But... they do not make much sense.
It seems to fail to chdir to /tmp. But I can do it with sudo just fine under

What's going on?

Request for credential for just one user on one specific machine when using FQDN
Hi,
I have deployed a new file server (Samba version 4.6.2, CentOS 7) which
is running as a member of an AD domain (The DCs are both Windows server
2012, forest and domain level is 2012 as well). I'm using the AD backend
to store SID/UID mappings.
So everything is working fine except for one specific user on one
specific workstation (Windows 10) who can only access the file server

Ah, that didn't quite register with me. I'm using a CD-style

I don't think so. 0.9 works fine on i386 (little) and sparc (big),

Yes, this appears to have worked. I can now correctly encode and decode both
my 8kHz/8-bit/mono sample, and a 44.1kHz/16-bit/stereo sample on Debian/alpha.

on my samba server with 'winbind use default domain" set to yes
dominioNT\ is removed from users and groups names...
