pam authentication
...user00 at domain1.org, etc.
pam (real system users) users can connect via imap and pop ONLY without
domain name
It's a problem with pam authentication because linux make users
authentication with only username (and not with also domain name) but
I'd like user full email like test00 at realdomain.org

samba PDC with nfs mount of homes
....3E.2 on RHEL3-AS.
Let's say we have a samba 3 PDC (workgroup = testdomain) on linux.host.1,
and the passwd backend is NIS ypbind that binds to ypserv on liunx.host.2.
Further, linux.host.2 also runs samba 3, not as a PDC, but rather points
it's authentication to an NT4 PDC (workgroup = realdomain). Even further,
linux.host.2 also holds the user /home directories.
Now, if we NFS mount linux.host.2:/home onto linux.host.1, and then setup
the smb.conf on linux.host.1 to share out that NFS mount of /home, my
question is this: will samba on linux.host.2 be involved in any of the
authenticat...

Last, thing you can check is the /etc/idmapd.conf
Default should be fine but you can try and set these
( just before [Mapping]
Domain = your.dnsdomain.tld
Local-Realm = YOUR.REALDOMAIN.TLD

NSS and group enumeration in CUPS...
I was used (in SambaNT/OpenLDAP) to put on CUPS configuration the
statement (/etc/cups/cups-files.conf):
SystemGroup printops
and add to 'printops' group some users that can manage cups.
Now i'm in AD mode. I'm in 'printops' group:
root at vdmpp1:~# id gaio
uid=10000(gaio) gid=10513(domain users) gruppi=10513(domain
