Hello! Has anyone seen this netfilter kernel crash? Images from the console of the crashed firewall: http://pasik.reaktio.net/centos5-kernel-crash/ Firewall is HP DL360 G4 server running CentOS 5.x 32 bit. I've seen this firewall crashing multiple times, but I only started investigating it lately.. It has happened using CentOS 5.0, 5.1 and now also with 5.2. I'm not sure if it was the same bug earlier, but...

32bit domUs
Hey all, I have need to boot 32bit domu''s on a amd64 system. I was able to deploy a 32bit image but the kernel is still 64bit. I have a feeling in my .cfg file for the domU I need to specify a 32bit kernel. Is this correct? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

How to: Improve Network Throughput of a XEN kernel?
Hi there, I am starting a new thread to try and solve a problem I am having will slow network throughput to the XEN host (not to a domU). I have confirmed my problem occurs with PVOPS ''xen/master'' kernel as well using http://pasik.reaktio.net/xen/pv_ops-dom0-debug/config-2.6.31.6-pvops-dom0-xen-master-x86_64 as the .config. It also occurs with a forward ported xenified kernel (2.6.31.12) using the attached config-11-xen (.config). However when using the xen kernel found in debain lenny (2.6.26-2) for the amd64 architecture I get s...

Tips for installing Fedora 10 32bit Xen PV domU/guest on CentOS 5.3 dom0/host
..."anaconda installs the wrong kernel for i686 xen guests" https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470905 It can be "fixed" by using a kickstart file for installation, which forces installation of kernel-PAE instead of normal kernel. Example of such kickstart: http://pasik.reaktio.net/fedora/f10-xen-domu-ks.cfg Fedora 11 (current rawhide of 2009-03-24) does not have that bug anymore, so paravirtual F11 Xen PV domU installation should work out-of-the-box. I've tested and verified all the above works. Hopefully that helps someone :) -- Pasi

How to force iscsi to see the new LUN size
Hi, I increased the size of one of the LUNs and on CentOS 5.4 if I restart iscsi (`service iscsi restart`) I'll see the the new size but this will disconnect all other LUNs. I'm hoping that there is isciadm or some other command that will force iscsi to rediscover the LUNs but I can't seem to be able to come up with one. Resize2fs says that there is nothing to be done. I'm

Running Fedora 10 (and rawhide) Xen guests/domUs on CentOS 5 dom0
Hi list! Now when Fedora 10 is out, I thought of writing here what's needed to run Fedora 10 Xen domUs on CentOS 5 dom0. Fedora 10 does not have separate kernel-xen, but instead Xen domU support is included in the normal kernel-PAE.i686 and kernel.x86_64 (based on the pv_ops Xen support included in the mainline/vanilla Linux kernels). RHEL 5.3 beta (and final obviously too) includes

Install ubunto domU
Dear *, I''m more used to work with RedHat like OSes. Still, I did not denied the request from a user who wants a domU based on ubunto. I usually use virt-install to do the job, with a script similar to this one: #!/bin/sh BASE=SL-4.7-i386-pv \ virt-install --nographics \ --nonsparse \ --paravirt \ --noreboot \
