Windows File Permissions
Greetings,
I just have a couple of questions. One is related to Samba specifically the second deals with Windows Networking, RSYNC, and Linux in general. I have asked it in the RSYNC mailing list, but so far no one has provided any insight.
I apologize if anyone has gone over this information. I have been unable to find much help in the mailing list archives, IRC, or the documentation.

smb_lookup error=-13
I am experiencing an odd problem while attempting to mount and access a directory with smbfs. smbclient does not exhibit the same behavior.
I have created a directory /mnt/smb-test and am attempting to mount a volume from a NetApp Filer running OnTap 7 with NTFS security mode. An Active Directory DC handles security for the share. The Linux machine shows as registered in AD and I can use

Delete But Don't Copy
Is it possible to use RSYNC to only delete files that exist at the destination, but not the source. I would like RSYNC to remove files that exist at the destination but do not exist at the source WITHOUT copying or creating any additional files.
If RYSNC can't do this, does someone know a nice way? Perhaps, find <regex> > listing.txt && find <destinationregex> >

Windows File Permissions
I have recently designed a backup strategy for my company built around RSYNC. The strategy appears sound for NetWare NSS data and Linux/Unix data as the filesystem permissions are maintained (though some hackery is required for NetWare).
However, recently a large amount of Windows data has been added to the project raising concerns about filesystem rights. The windows data is archived on

RSYNC File Has Vanished
Greetings,
I am attempting to RSYNC files from a Linux box which has a mounted path to a NetWare 6.5 server. I am using the Novell Client for Linux (beta). I am sure this is probably a Novell issue, and there won't be much help on this mailing list, but perhaps someone could explain what the underlying issue might be. I could use this information on my bug report to Novell to help them

RSYNC + iNotify
I'm looking for a way to continually monitor at least one but possibly multiple directories (and/or individual files). I would like RSYNC to immediately synchronize the changes to said directory(ies) after they occur. I believe the best approach for this would be to utilize iNotify enabled kernels and create a plugin for the RSYNC daemon.
However, before I begin the task of actually writing

Regarding [Bug 1936] lseek failed in map_ptr
Rsync has begun failing to replicate a kerberos samba mount point. This mount point has worked previously, but recently an attempt to replicate the mount point returns;
