Some issues in Dovecot 1.2.5 after upgrade from 1.0.15
...point is not connected
How do I get the login (presumably imap-login) processes to dump core
(or do I need to insert gdbhelper)?
Dovecot -n output (%J is a local hash function and we don't use the lda;
my start-up script sets the fd limit to 4096 once Dovecot has started):
> # 1.2.5: /opt/RDGdovect/etc/dovecot.conf
> Warning: fd limit 2048 is lower than what Dovecot can use under full load (more than 4352). Either grow the limit or change login_max_processes_count and max_mail_processes settings

rc12 dovecot-auth core dump with ldap
...(objectClass=User)(sAMAccountName=%n))
Strangely, it crashes in a different place when I don't define the
scope, so I'm guessing it's something to do with reading parameters.

Dovecot 1.1 rc9 compilation warnings
...pilation warnings (but the compilation finishes). I don't know
whether any of them are worth tracking down?
I'm guessing most of the differences depend on the default gcc options
and a couple of them are probably specific to our setup.
All were configured with
./configure --prefix=/opt/RDGdovect --with-ssl=openssl --with-ldap
Best Wishes,
Chris

1.0beta3 released
Since there have been so many requests, I guess it's time for beta3 now.
There are a couple of issues that I'm still concerned about, but those
probably happen with beta2 as well.
If you're beginning to see more connection hangs/timeouts with this
release, please tell me.
* Dotlock code changed to timeout faster in some situations when
the lock file is old.

pre-1.0.rc27: Index and mbox fixes
I've been doing some stress testing in the last few days and fixing all
the errors I saw. I'm hoping that I've finally really fixed all the
index/mbox problems. So, again I think the only thing left for v1.0 is
the documentation. Please test this nightly snapshot before I'll release
rc27 tomorrow:

Dovecot SSL issue on Solaris 10 x64 (64-bit)
I'm having an issue with Thunderbird (and Opera) and Dovecot SSL on a
Solaris 10.
My OS is Solaris 10 6/06 x86 (running in 64-bit mode) using ZFS (disk
mirror) as the
filesystem for my users. Dovecot version is 1.0rc7 (logs below are from
1.0rc6).
First the connection asks if the SSL-certificate should be accepted,
accepting it
seems to work but then nothing happens. Thunderbird is
