--include-from doesn't include
...of my XP workstations home directory
to a mapped drive using rsync on Cygwin. I was able to create a fairly
useful exclude-from list, but I'm unable to re-include portions a subset
of an excluded directory. My rsync command looks like this:
rsync -avn --delete --stats ~/ \
/cygdrive/i/HRMS/rdavies/backup/home \
--exclude-from=/home/rdavies/rsync_home_list
And the exclude file looks like this:
+ Application\ Data/IDMComp/**
+ Application\ Data/Mozilla/**
- Application\ Data/*
- Cookies/*
- Desktop/*
- Favorites/*
- Local\ Settings/*
- My Documents/Outlook/*
- My Documents/My\ *
- NetHoo...

It should be noted that this patch creates symlinks that only smbfs will
understand. I think it would be nice if it produced and understood (parts
of) windows "shortcuts". Or if that is too hard, be compatible with
whatever cygwin does for symlinks.

Testing failing
So I''m trying to be a good agile programmer and write unit tests for
my objects, but I''ve got a test I just can''t keep from failing.
I have a profile object that I just added username and
hashed_password to. I used the method in the Rails book to handle
hashing the password. My code is strait out of the book. The whole
object is at the end of this email.
I want
