[PATCH] Btrfs: fix the same inode id problem when doing auto defragment
Two files in the different subvolumes may have the same inode id, so
The rb-tree which is used to manage the defragment object must take it
into account. This patch fix this problem.

[PATCH 1/4] btrfs: fix the bug that __tree_search() returns the wrong result in extent_map.c
__tree_search() returns the reverse result about the prev node and the next node. And we can
get the prev node and the next node directly by rb_prev() and rb_next(), so it is unnecessary
to use while loop to get them.
This patch fixes this bug of the wrong result.

[PATCH] Btrfs: cache bitmaps when searching for a cluster
If we are looking for a cluster in a particularly sparse or fragmented block
group, we will do a lot of looping through the free space tree looking for
various things, and if we need to look at bitmaps we will endup doing the whole
dance twice. So instead add the bitmap entries to a temporary list so if we
have to do the bitmap search we can just look through the list of entries we''ve

[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: add a free space cache checker to fsck
In trying to track down a weird tree log problem I wanted to make sure that the
free space cache was actually valid, which we currently have no way of doing.
So this patch adds a bunch of support for the free space cache code and then a
checker to fsck. Basically we go through and if we can actually load the free
space cache then we will walk the extent tree and verify that the free space

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix very slow inode eviction and fs unmount
The inode eviction can be very slow, because during eviction we
tell the VFS to truncate all of the inode''s pages. This results
in calls to btrfs_invalidatepage() which in turn does calls to
lock_extent_bits() and clear_extent_bit(). These calls result in
too many merges and splits of extent_state structures, which
consume a lot of time and cpu when the inode has many pages. In

[PATCH 2/4] Add shared reference cache
Hello,
This patch adds shared reference cache support. The new space
balancing code plays with multiple subvols at the same time, So
the old per-subvol reference cache isn''t fit for it.

Yan Zheng

[PATCH] Use ERR_CAST inlined function instead of ERR_PTR(PTR_ERR(...)) - generated by Coccinelle
This patch was generated using the Coccinelle scripts and btrfs
code in v2.6.36-9657-g7a3f8fe.
Use ERR_CAST inlined function instead of ERR_PTR(PTR_ERR(...))
The semantic patch that makes this change is available

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix freeing delayed ref head while still holding its mutex V2
I hit this error when reproducing a bug that would end in a transaction
abort. We take the delayed ref head''s mutex to keep anybody from processing
it while we''re destroying it, but we fail to drop the mutex before we carry
on and free the damned thing. Fix this by doing the remove logic for the
head ourselves and unlock the mutex, that way we can avoid use after

Offline Deduplication for Btrfs V2
Just a quick update, I''ve dropped the hashing stuff in favor of doing a memcmp
in the kernel to make sure the data is still the same. The thing that takes a
while is reading the data up from disk, so doing a memcmp of the entire buffer
isn''t that big of a deal, not to mention there''s a possiblity for malicious
users if there is a problem with the hashing algorithms we

[PATCH] Make sure all dirty blocks are written at commit time
Write dirty block groups may allocate new block, thus
may add new delayed back ref. btrfs_run_delayed_refs may
make some block groups dirty. commit_cowonly_roots does
not handle the recursion properly, so some dirty blocks
can be left unwritten at commit time. This patch move
btrfs_run_delayed_refs into the loop that writes dirty
block groups, and make the code not break out of the loop

[PATCH][RFC][12+2][v3] A expanded CFQ scheduler for cgroups
This patchset expands traditional CFQ scheduler in order to support cgroups,

Improvements are as following.
* Modularizing our new CFQ scheduler.
The expanded CFQ scheduler is registered/unregistered as new I/O
elevator scheduler called "cfq-cgroups". By this, the traditional CFQ

[PATCH] Btrfs: make sure we find a bitmap entry
Yan Zheng hit a problem where we tried to remove some free space but failed
because we couldn''t find the free space entry. This is because the free space
was held within a bitmap that had a starting offset well before the actual
offset of the free space, and there were free space extents that were in the
same range as that offset, so tree_search_offset returned with NULL because we
