R-beta: unix failure in windows R ?
I installed the RApril with all the warnings of a pre-beta version, but
had it quickly produce some beautiful graphs etc. Then, since I'm
interested in regression, I downloaded the S-plus package for Aalen's
additive regression model, and I got a fixed version for Windows/R
already by the next day, but when I tri...

R-beta: R for Windows95
There is a zip (RApril.zip) which should now be at the mirrors
in R/Windows. Please have a try and let me know of any problems.
I haven't been able to test it on very many machines here so
I really don't know about 3.11 or NT.

R-beta: cran
Hi, the contributed section of CRAN has source code in C, etc. I am
using RApril in Win95, How should one compile these programs?
- with Watcom C10?
- is 'lcc' the free 32 bit compiler usable?
- Is 'load.dll' available?
- If load.dll works, does it works with 16 bit dll's or it needs 32
bit dll's?
Thanks.

I did try mounting it on a DEC Alpha but getting a version to run glm is

R-beta: q and postscript in win95
I have recently been introduced to R for win95 and have been impressed by
it. It seems to outperform S-Plus greatly. I have had 2 problems. I am
using visual basic to automate an analysis. The vis basic routine waits
for the creation of a data file then calls R to start the analysis. I have
placed the source() command in the rprofile file so it will be run
automatically. Output of the

I am a complete novice R programmer. (Though I know C quite well)
I am trying to write some R code to do the following simulation.
There is a 2-frame "movie" of noise and signal dots. the noise
dots have random positions in each frame. The signal dots are
placed randomly in frame 1,

where your man reader finds it, such as `/usr/local/man/man1'.
2.5.2. How Can R Be Installed (Windows)
The file `RApril.zip' from the `bin/ms-windows' directory of a CRAN
site contains a binary Windows 95 distribution for R which should be
about a 0.48 release. This version is quite limited in Windows-
specific features and probably contains many bugs, although it has
been reported to work rather ni...
